    This would do well for people looking for a cheap iPhone... The ability to do 4K will hopefully make it's way into the cheap phones now that this has been introduced.

    The plus is way too much, regular 6 is perfect size IMO.

    So it's an iPhone 6 but the size of the 5? Why didn't they release this back then? I hated the size of the 6 but now I'm used to it and don't care

    likely getting this. size is perfect... i'd be upset if iphone 7 had an extremely reduced bezel, reducing the overall size of the device though.. or if they decide to release 3 sizes with i7 (unlikley, given the timing of this launch)

    3 reasons:
    1.) market presence-- they aim to have a continuous flow of new products, which is also why they're announcing this now, and not in june when they will likely be announcing the i7
    2.) pricing -- the SE is being sold, much like the 5C was, as a budget product. it's last year's hardware & 3 year's ago casing. and therefore, it's cheaper to produce, and can be sold at a cheaper price. they couldn't have done that a year ago when the internals were still fresh and more costly to produce.
    3.) cannibalization -- if they would have released this at the same time as the 6S, then many people would have opted to stay with the screen size they already adored at the time. apple would have been forced to sell it for cheaper, and therefore, would have lost revenue even though they would have sold the same amount of devices as they did with the 6/6S launches.

    ...really, it comes down to money, with #2 actually working in favor of the consumer.

    Oh ok cool so my iPhone 5s isn't obsolete any more... well as long as I have a case on my phone... I'm happy I won't look like a complete broke boy anymore. Thanks apple :wiggins:.

    I believe this phone is cheaper with a contract.
    I think the phone is cool for people who don't want such a big phone, like the 6 and 6 plus.

    I don't even know why people are bitching, i feel like apple is dong the people a favor with this phone

    I'mma pass on this, my upgrade is free this May so I'm just gonna cop the 128gb and get a 100% better phone
