May 12, 2016 Alot of you might know this already, but i............ am.......... A STAN!!!! So im going to indoctrinate you into my Eminem ideology. But forcing you into it might make you less inclined. So i decided that daily doses of Eminem will slowly convert all the haters into Stans like me. At least some of you anyways. Of course, these songs will be randomly selected, so some of the s--- ones might come up, but hey , that's life. So after shuffling my song-list, this came up, i cant directly upload, and im not on soundcloud, but ill link the youtube video Enjoy today's song: 5/20/2016
May 13, 2016 First of all, this is an Eminem thread i think im allowed to be an Eminem fan here second, I can run this thread because im the one who started it, its mine, i also know almost all of his songs (and i know ALL the official releases) thirdly, if you actually intend to contribute, then pm me. maybe the mods can put in some code to help us make it a proper one. maybe you could do it better than me, but you haven't. I think a dedicated em thread SHOULD be run by a 'stan'. otherwise, have a nice day
May 15, 2016 Going to start doing it around this time from now on, so its technically on a new 'day' This one is from TES one of my personal favorites. This is the only song Eminem has featuring Haile as a part of the hook and the intro (a funny one at that) the first verse is a typical shady verse with him making fa---- jokes, referencing Afghanistan, and insulting people. The hook is a simple and fun one. The second verse goes into him referencing his mother and doing a subtle comparison with her and his critics, with both always telling him not to speak his mind (and whining about it) and goes on to make a list things he rather do than stop rapping (thing's i wouldn't do) In the third verse you can feel the change of atmosphere from purely comedic in the first verse, to a more serious but still in jest second verse, to a strong emotional third verse. with great use of the thunder in the background to set the mood (things he did in 'stan' and 'legacy') Overall a nice song, one of his best ever (and right after 'till i collapse' in the tracklist) and the perfect way to end TES thoughts??
May 16, 2016 IM A CRIMINAL!!!!! This song is more political than meets the eye. Eminem has been criticized and legally pursued for his homophobic and 'offensive' lyrics. In order to prove a point about freedom of speech Eminem goes on the offensive (pun intended) The title itself is representative of how he would be classified if words were illegal. Its lyrical, fun, funny and raw. my personal favorite verse is the last where he robs a store and shoots up everyone around him. He also puts in his final insults to all those who are afraid to speak their mind and all those who try to silence him. Old em was savage Another great end to another great album. thoughts?
May 16, 2016 I honestly think Criminal is one of his best songs during his prime era. That and Soldier. The Self-awareness and knowledge of the industry was a good tool to use to flip everyone's s---.
May 17, 2016 If you ever wondered how Eminem would sound singing. I can tell you..... He sounds like s--- But that didn't stop him from warming hearts with the poorly sang TES classic. To make up for his lack of vocal ability, Eminem compensates with some of the most meaningful lyrics he's ever written, done as an ode to himself winning a custody battle with his wife for his daughter Haile. A little introspection, typical Kim bashing, a hint of rawness, and a bucket of love for his daughter. Id take this over any of Beyonce's s---. And everyone thought he was just a pistol packing drug addict who bags on his momma
May 18, 2016 My second favorite rapper would be Nas or Kendrick............ But my second favorite WHITE rapper is easily Yelawolf and songs like this are why: Im not a big fan of boo. But she killed the hook in this song from Yelawolf's debut studio album "Radioactive" "Throw it up" (the hook) sounds like something i would bump for hours. Boo's verse less enjoyable, but Yelawolf in top form with his trademark quick spitting Alabama style rap. But this is a $tan thread. Right when the beat slows down as if the song was going to end (and you check how much time is left to make sure) Eminem makes his appearance and spits a fast paced, humorous and witty verse (as he always done). Nothing too serious, just a fun song and a bit of a technical showcase. Boo stands out as .... not being very $hady , but she gets point for that nice hook. Yelawolf making his em influence obvious and Eminem....being a little d-ck. Same old same old really "they didn't carry a size 8 in hoes" .......*hatin hoes* Another thing i love about this song but couldn't find in any of the YouTube videos was a skit that was played as a part of the song afterwards (same song file) Skit: *phone rings (ringtone sounds like a squawking duck)* Eminem mutters*" the f--- is this?" *answers phone* "Yo!" Yela: "Whaddup" Em: "Whaddup" Yela: "Ummm you do that verse?" Em: "Yeah i just killed that s---" Yela: "wut?" Em: "Naa naa, nothing, ummm, yow, you know that i was thinkin man, i think the one thing that the album don't have that it might be missing , is like a.....a song for like......*hesitates* girls" Yela: "Uhhh (confused) what do you mean .... for like 'b------s' " Em: "Naaa 'girls'", "like a love song" Yela: "No?" (he said it, but it sounded alot like a question) Em: "Well you need one" Yela: "Like lovesong- lovesong" Em: "Yeah man, b------s like love songs" and then the next song plays which is "good girl ft poo bear" this is something i wanted to bring up because no Eminem album had love songs BEFORE recovery (2010) radioactive was in 2011
May 19, 2016 "Bomboclaat", is a common Jamaican expletive, originally referring to what would be toilet paper in the olden days ('Bloodclaat' would be functional maxipads) and now just a meaningless expletive which could be used as follows: "f---ing idiot"- "Bomboclaat ediat" , "Get the f--- away"-"Move yuh bomboclaat". Why have i told you about this? Because Eminem seems to like this word The song attempts to sound Jamaican. The intro actually gets it somewhat right, but when he starts rapping, it fades away into nothing more than voice alternation with little to no accenting in the word (apart from specific situation like "f---in yuh madda"). Not that it was any f---ing problem of course, as Eminem goes on to spit 4 and a half minutes of lyrical pawnage with his divine flow. Add that to a dope dre track, and we have practically top form Eminem (lyrically). Im this time when Eminem was considered creatively mediocre, you cant say the rhymes and flow weren't top form. As if his skills were ever in doubt. Nothing impactful or emotional, but rhymes and flow are goat as usual. - I know i'm late so i will have to do an extra song on a few hours.
May 20, 2016 Had a physics exam, doing a double for today, unfortunately, the two songs shuffled happened to be 2 very special songs unfortunate for ME in that i have a lot of writing to do
