Dec 4, 2014 Who;s excited for the merc with a mouth's 2016 outing? Ryan Reynolds, who previously played the part of Wade Wilson in X-men Origins: Wolverine has been confirmed to reprise his role. Fox are closing a deal and production is to start as early as March.
Dec 4, 2014 Is this movie based off of that test footage that leaked though? Cos that thing made me c-m...
Dec 4, 2014 Nah, that was just one of many test footage's that got made. You can thank that for the movie being confirmed, though. In my opinion if it weren't for the feed back it got the movie would still be in developmental h--- right now
Dec 6, 2014 I'm curious to see whether or not FOX has the balls to stay true to the source material and do it justice, which would almost certainly demand an R rating. I doubt they will, as there is an unwritten rule that any and all movies which receive wide theatrical release that are based on marvel comic properties have to receive a P13. Only exceptions I can think of is the Blade series, but the last one of those came out 10 years ago. Giving it an R rating means they will miss out on box office dollars, of course, and it's all about the benjamins. If (since) they have to water it down to fit the audience, hopefully they at least got the script right. That said, I wonder if Deadpool will make an appearance in X-Men Apocalypse? Edit: I forgot, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, from a couple of years ago, was also rated R. I'm sure that most others forgot about it too.
Dec 6, 2014 Given that FOX owns the rights to both, I'm sure that it will be. It's really too bad that the movie rights to marvel's comic properties are all over the place. It really is a letdown that we'll never get to see Iron Man interact with Spider-Man or Wolverine. Dec 7, 2014 Don't count it out. Sony is on the decline financially currently, and you never know what they'll do with Spidey's movie rights. You know who's going to be first in line. While unlikely, they could always form some type of deal as well.
Dec 7, 2014 The only way I can see Spidey joining the MCU in any capacity is if Sony lets the rights expire and revert back to Marvel. Sony would have to let 5 years pass without releasing a Spidey-related movie of some type in order for that to happen. The 5 year thing is the reason why the franchise was rebooted in 2012 in the first place. It had been 5 years since Spiderman 3 and since Sony & Sam Raimi decided to part ways, it was really all they could do. Personally, I don't see the two studios working some type of deal out. I say this because, for one, Marvel is doing just fine with all the franchises they have. They just announced their line up through 2019 and have no signs of slowing down. I don't think Marvel exactly needs Spiderman enough to want to shell out any loot. If Marvel can get him for free (if the rights revert back) then of course they'll happily take. Plus, Marvel is notoriously cheap, so even if Sony attempted to negotiate, I think it's likely Marvel would low ball them.
Dec 7, 2014 I can see Spider-Man going to Marvel eventually. While I liked Amazing Spider-Man 2 it didn't have the reviews and the positive feedback Sony wanted. Last I heard Amazing Spider-Man 3 has been shelved, the planned Venom film has been shelved and they're focusing on a Sinister Six movie about the villains teaming up and being reformed somehow. It's basically a Marvel version of Suicide Squad at this point but no other news has been out. Whoever leaked films that belong to Sony leaked a conversation executives had about the Men in Black and Spider-Man franchises. Sony seems frustrated and I wouldn't be too surprised if come 2016 it's announced Marvel has Spider-Man in their MCU. A Marvel led Spider-Man film is what I think everybody wants to see.
Dec 7, 2014 Ryan Renolds in this automatically makes this a potential flop. Its one thing to worry if they will keep it true to the original content, but to have a weak casting for your main character from the get go is a bad sign in my idea.
Dec 7, 2014 As of now, Amazing Spider-Man 3 has been delayed to 2018 because Sony, I guess, has decided to move forward with the Sinister Six adaptation for 2016. http://screenrant.com/sinister-six-release-date-2016-amazing-spider-man-3-2018/ http://whatculture.com/film/the-amazing-spider-man-3-10-things-you-need-to-know.php http://whatculture.com/film/10-ways-to-reboot-the-amazing-spider-man-correctly.php Of course, things can (and probably will) change at any time regarding these release dates. Basically, Sony likely does not want to lose the rights, but, at the same time, has no clue about what to do with the franchise.
Dec 7, 2014 That's the thing. If people didn't give a f--- about Amazing Spider-man 3 what's to say they will for 3 in 4, possibly 5 years time The Sinister Six would make a great Spider-Man film, not a solo film. I don't see why they don't merge the two together and release The Amazing Spider-Man 3: Sinister Six Probably a way to keep the rights longer but c'mon, ASM3 has no buzz, Sinister Six has no buzz so merge them together, introduce Eddie Brock as covering the Spidey/S6 fight, slap in the symbiote as a means of Spider-Man to overcome the odds, discard it at the end of the film and end it with a Venom cliffhanger.
Jan 21, 2015 He was barely even in the Wolverine movie. Then he becomes a somewhat of a major part in the movie, and you can barely tell it's him. Not nearly enough to say it's a flop and how he'll be as Deadpool in a stand alone film. I think he'll k--- it if that test footage is anything close to it. Deadpool has a HUGE fanbase. They know how people want to see Deadpool on the big screen.
Jan 22, 2015 Ryan Reynolds was the best part of that s-----y X-Men film. And he was only in it for like five minutes. Say what you will about him as an actor(although I can make a pretty sound argument that he's a good actor), but if there was one role he was put on this planet for, Deadpool would be it.
