I am for. There is no need to keep some psychos in prisons, when they can be still dangerous after they finally get out.

Not sure.. I mean they have to be 100% sure. You can't undo it if it's the wrong person. And also, letting someone die kind of lets them get 'away' with it easily, even if they deserve to die. Spending years in prison could be more effective for punishment. But yeah it costs more, so in that case I would agree some could get it.

Doesn't having a prisoner on death row cost more than not?

It's a tough call because you do see stories of people who were found innocent after decades of being in prison, there is still too high a risk of ending the life of people who have been wrongly accused.

I think we should use these people instead of animals in testing products.

I'm not sure, we can't decide who lives and who dies. Unfortunately, justice isn't perfect.
But i'm in favor of forced labor, so the government don't have to pay for their room.

Against it. It's not up to a judge/state to decide to terminate someone's life, no matter how atrocious many crimes might be. An eye for an eye isn't the answer.

what was that quote... something like "Permanent solution to a temporary problem" ?
like what benefit does anyone get out of someone dying? It apparently costs more, so you aren't exactly saving money by killing them. Then you think about the people who do get wrongly convicted, even though its a small amount, it still happens. I mean, why death? like why not be creative?

Companies should be able to call up prisons where death-row inmates are renamed something. (for this example, we'll just say c----). So someone like NASA can call up and say "gday m8's you got any c---- we can use? Got this new fucken space gear that might let you breathe in space, we needa test it though so swing a c---- our way so we can send him to space with this gear"

it just seems like a waste to just k--- them and watch them die and be like "ok his dead" when you could literally just use them for testing things that are risky/dangerous but could potentially further the human race.

-on that note, would also be great to give theses "c----" actual life threatening viruses/illnesses/diseases to see if any of that voodoo naturopath alternative medicine works

It will never happen because it's against human rights. We really don't want to follow a path of hitler or other c---- who tested medicines on their citizens. We can't give them so much physical pain. Even with death penalties you inject the prisoners a poison to let them die without suffering.

Nah, the death penalty is 100% more expensive than life in prison due to all the appeals and long judicial processes. I'd be for the death penalty if we had a more efficient method of conducting it. At the same time though, there have been numerous studies that show that the death penalty doesn't curve or reduce crime in anyway. It's simply a consequence that makes us feel justified by removing somebody bad/evil from the world.

U.S.'s justice system is all f----- though, we need complete reform. Maybe if we stopped imprisoning people for possession of small amounts of drugs and focused on imprisoning actually violent/dangerous criminals, we would have a better understanding how punishment should be handled.

It will never happen, but I like the idea.. Hitler did most of it to innocent people, we're talking about serial killers/child rapists etc who will never see light of the day so that's a different story imo.
