Do video games ruin songs for you?

    I don't play video games anymore but I have quite a large amount of songs that I physically cannot listen to anymore purely because I've heard them 4,000 times on the menu screens of video games - especially ones like FIFA/2k where you spend days playing so you hear the same 12 songs looped.

    Does anyone else get this? Is anyone else victims of FIFA and 2k (or other games) ruining music for you? Speak up, it's okay.

    nerdy s--- like Call Of Duty will ruin any song for me cause then i'll associate the song with Call Of Duty & feel like i'm gettin secondhand autism when i listen

    but s--- like GTA or 2K doesnt ruin anything for me rly though i'll prob stop listening to the songs irl for a while

    Not really, more like I've been introduced to songs through games

    I don't play sports games tho

    Yeah, GTA songs have generally been fine for me but I think that's because there's all the stations too. I think I maybe associate the fact on sports game when I hear the music it's the loading screen so it's probably the impatience that comes with that ha

    I'd say it's more sports games as they have more loading screens/menus that play music and if you play that game heaps it's like listening to the same 10 song radio station over and over

    Fifa kills them because they have like 5 songs in the soundtracks

    Gta and stuff no because there are actual radio stations with lots of songs. You can also make your own radio station

    Not really ,actually thanks to some games i discovered some nice songs, mostly come from FIFA games

    I’m sure it has I just can’t think of any instances
    On a related note I can’t stand when a song sounds like something that would play over a movies credits. Like I knew that Kdot x Weeknd song from the BP soundtrack would end up being the song that played over the credits just from how it sounded. And it was.

    Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas introduced me to my fave music group of all time (Alice In Chains) and I'm not ashamed to admit that.

    Heard "Them Bones" and I looked deeper into their catalog. "Would?" was the second song I heard from them around 16 (2006), which got me hooked, and the rest is history.

    Man, nothing beats Layje Staley as a lead vocalist. He was so self-destructive, but you couldn't deny his incomparable level of charisma he inherently possessed, which he exuded with seamlessly no exerted effort.

    The loading music for NBA Street Vol. 2 was "They Reminisce Over You." That game can take as long as it needs to load; I'll wait.

    The one thing that games DID ruin for me musicwise is any song from Tony Hawk 1 - 3 I will hear a countdown timer start beeping precisely at the 1:50 mark.

    See i just put the blueprint on and had to skip the first track instantly cos 2k16 ruined it for me
