May 8, 2016 I've seen arguments for both sides regarding how high this album should be held. I myself do consider it a classic album. As far as how it's aged, it's hard to say. I'm re-listening to it now and enjoying doing so but I also haven't heard the album in full in a long time now. How has it aged for some of you? My two favorites:
May 8, 2016 Yes, it's a classic. The production side of this album is classic itself. I still hear people bumping this album here and there.
May 8, 2016 Yes. Kind of a low-tier one, I wouldn't plut it on the same scale as like, The Blueprint. But it is a classic
May 8, 2016 Completely agree with this. BP1 has really stood the test of time though. Can't say the same for GRODT.
May 8, 2016 For what it brought forward... Yes it's a classic But if we're talking quality, that's a longer conversation
May 8, 2016 Maybe a low-tier classic if that's a thing but tbh I've always viewed it as just a great album.
May 8, 2016 I only just listened to it in full last year and absolutely loved it, it's a classic for impact/production alone, and 50 rode every beat well.
May 8, 2016 Yeah. It's too big not to be. About half of it doesn't hold up that well, but it's still a classic. Could have been much better.
May 8, 2016 The production? Definitely classic material. 50 himself was pretty d--- good (he peaked as a rapper on Massacre) but not great.
May 8, 2016 Some in the back half. "Poor Lil Rich." "Like My Style." "Don't Push Me." Album would be exponentially better if you put some more street songs from the 02 sessions in there. Top-ten all-time album title tho
