    A lot of nerds hate on the man because he gave your favourite rappers album a 3/10.

    Personally, I think hes been an important part of hop hop culture for the last decade and he is my go to for music reviews.

    I think he deserves a bit more credit than he gets tbh.

    Agree with some of his takes, disagree with others.

    He's okay, sometimes entertaining, sometimes cringy. Don't go out of my way to listen to his stuff but if it pops in my feed on youtube and I'm bored enough I might click.

    I mean... Crooked I sampled his vocals for his song with Statik Selektah (on Statik KXNG album) but that's the only part I liked about melon head. He seems to be a dweeb.

    If a project that I'm interested in drops and he's putting a review out, I'm checking it and I enjoy his videos even if I don't agree with him most of the times.

    He's so mechanical in his cherry-pick approach to reviewing hip hop. "Some of the songs on here are very non-descript" like bro it's not that f---in deep.

    I'm not saying he's talentless—he def knows how to make an entertaining video and found a niche—but I think his knowledge of rap is really basic and never informative...for someone who listens to all music he sure puts hip-hop in a box with regard to what it "should" be.

    Also he's the most popular and well-known contemporary music critic by far, gets TOO MUCh credit if anything lol.

    My issues with Needledrop lie within his own reasoning based style of deducting whether music can be good, especially when it comes to rap. If said music doesn't fit into his mold of what is objectively good (Kendrick, Death Grips), then it's merely discarded as otherwise. Feels like that limits his criteria and his refusal to budge only inhibits his range of critique.

    Don't mind him otherwise, I find his blind followers more annoying than anything

    He’s ok. I don’t really watch him. I think I find him more entertaining than insightful about music. I enjoy s--- like him re reviewing MBDTF and giving it a worse score lmao.
