Nov 10, 2017 It’s been a good run. Guts Over Fear was a hint that it’s almost time. Walk on Water is the swan song. This is his final run and he knows it. There’s isn’t anything left in the tank for him, he has completely run out of ideas. But still. He should have went out fighting instead of using the sympathy card. He chose this path and he owed it to us. Oh well, all artists fall off eventually. Should have appreciated him in his prime. I thought he had one last b-----r in him but he proved me wrong.
Nov 10, 2017 He’s never gonna stop.. music is his life.. he basically said f--- what u think.. he will decide when he’s done
Nov 10, 2017 he literally has about 15+songs releasing in the near future, all on one CD! So if u dont like this song im sure youll like a couple out of the 15+
Nov 10, 2017 He will decide when he's done and thats why he's releasing another album at the surprise of many...this is the last album though...nobody releases a song this heartbreaking as the first single unless they're on their deathbed
Nov 10, 2017 Single is trash... seems forced and boring. I was hoping he would comeback strong... but not feeling it. Seems like he was trying to get another love the way you lie ... but even Bey could save him. Just my two cents...
Nov 10, 2017 Yea it’s his last album. He knows it, we all do. It reminds me of Kobe’s last year. We all knew it.
Nov 10, 2017 bs thread. Has nothing to with him retiring. Yet he also retired after MMLP 2 with Bad Guy song right ? And Guts Over Fear also ? And now this ? Probably I've missed one more but who cares. He ain't retiring soon.
Nov 10, 2017 you forgot Take From Me "i have nothing else to give you, nothing left to contribute, farewell i bid you, but before i go, my last gift to you"
Nov 10, 2017 Nothing against your opinion or anything, but unless it's mentioned on the album that it's his last - I doubt it will be. Plus when it is his last album, they will capitalize and promote it as such, similar to how Jay did with The Black Album (even though it didn't end up being his last). Rock stars make music for decades and it's the norm. Hip-Hop just hasn't had someone do that yet, so it seems unusual. Not sure if Eminem will be one who does this, but at this point it really does feel like Jay-Z is going to keep make music (even if seldom) and continue to tour as he ages.
Nov 10, 2017 lol Eminem is not retiring yet and this isn't his last album. You guys realize Eminem is a money machine? One of the most well known entertainers of all time. They will continue to make money off him long after he has died. His nuts are basically in a corporate vice. Also he said he will rap until he is fossil fuel. Also also this song is him basically saying I'm going to rap about whatever the f--- I want and however the f--- I want.
Nov 10, 2017 Well we don't know he's run out of ideas. A few lines on Guts Over Fear, and Walk on Water don't prove that - let's wait to see what's on the album. Cause right now we have 1 song. I think whether this is his last album or not depends heavily on reaction to it. He clearly cares a lot, and always has, about that. If rap fans and Em fans pretty much all respond like 'this is a classic' or 'f--- this is genius'... I think it's quite likely he'll bow out on that, waning to end high. But, if people respond like 'eh. It's pretty good I guess BUT'... he's so obsessed with reaction and also stubborn - that I don't believe he will ever stop until he gets the response he wants. PS. He's been hinting at retirement or that he's out of gas and will stop soon since 2002. Just let that sink in for a moment. He's been hinting at the themes you're alluding to for FIFTEEN YEARS...
