Eminem had a few phases. The most obvious one was his thug/gansta/wigger phase between 2003 and 2006. What were the other phases between 1995 and 2018? What is your favourite phase he was in terms of music, personality, appearance etc?

2014-2017 is his GOAT phase. I wish he could have lived longer to continue this phase. RIP Marshall 1961-2018

He was more of a wigger in 1999 than he was in 05/06.

Oh yeah btw since 2014 he's been old man who rhymes a ton and says a bunch of words quickly but ignores the instrumental and musical side of rap

I think pill popping gangta slim is my favourite. Was funny watching people bail him out of his f----- up interviews. Plus he was fat and punching mirrors. All that bad luck he gained from breaking them might explain revival. Hopefully it was only 2 mirrors and the 14 yrs are almost up. If it was 3 or more mirrors we may be in for quite a few more bad albums. Not his fault though.

Easily his 2000-01 phase around Devils Night. Encore phase is nearly tied. Loved the promotion and s--- he did back then. Really takes me back.

2000 was him at his musical peak. MMLP was when he was at his best, as an all around package. Catchy as f--- songs and melodies, beats which matched this sound perfectly, impeccable live performances, and he had a ton of s--- to rap about in terms of his personal life, his freedom of speech views, and s--- that just pissed him off about society.

But my personal favorite era was 2002-2004 starting with the TES, 8 Mile, 50 signing all the way through until Invasion part 3. It was just so much fun to be a fan during this era cause his music was mostly enjoyable, the whole g unit take over was really fun to witness (plus they released some good music themselves), and the diss tracks and 3 green lantern mixtapes were historic moments. During this 2 year window or whatever it was up until Encore, there was so much material coming out from Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit camps that just shook the whole hip hop scene. I vividly remember how fun it was smoking weed and listening to all the new leaks, diss tracks, and official releases from the whole camp with my friends. It was the most fun time to be a fan IMO.

Having said all that, I still think MMLP is his best solo album ever though.

Edit: Thinking back to when SSLP came out all the way until he shocked the world with how f---ing s-----y Encore was, this dude dominated music and pop culture and put out so much great music, whether solo, freestyles, D12 albums, G Unit, or random features. That 1999-2004 run is just really f---ing incredible. It’s even more incredible in hindsight when you realize this same dude just put out Revival. Smh.
