    @DMX
@Boyz N The Suburbs is absolutely right, and i wont judge your IQ, since the standered might be different in other countrys, but watch ya mouth, be more respectful. EMINEM DROPPED OUT OF SCHOOL EARLY, and was never the brightest bulb. If you want to argue this is a opinion, then ill just give you raw facts, then you can lay off my boy Boyz N The Suburbs

.Eminem was not a fan, and stood against, the pop culture and its overly feminine artists, and refused to merge the two,, and this was one of the main staples that drew fans to him (At the time)

    Im back
Cause (I'mmmm) Shady, they call me as crazy
as the world was over this whole Y2K thing
And by the way, N'Sync, why do they sing?
Am I the only one who realizes they stink?
Should I dye my hair pink and care what y'all think?
Lip sync and buy a bigger size of earrings?
It's why I tend to block out when I hear things
Cause all these fans screamin is makin my ears ring (AHHHH!!!)
So I just, throw up a middle finger and let it linger
longer than the rumor that I was stickin it to Christina

    Marshal Mathers
    I'm anti-Backstreet and Ricky Martin
with instincts to k--- N'Sync, don't get me started
These f---in brats can't sing and Britney's garbage
What's this b---- r-----ed? Gimme back my sixteen dollars
All I see is sissies in magazines smiling
    Whatever happened to whylin out
    and bein violent?
Whatever happened to catchin a good-ol' fashioned
passionate a----whoopin and gettin your shoes coat and your hat tooken?
New Kids on the Block, s----d a lot of d-ck

    Boy/girl groups make me sick
And I can't wait 'til I catch all you fa----s in public
    I'ma love it.. (hahaha)

Then he became hypocritical by choosing some of the most popular pop stars of the time to do his hook for him.
2010: Love the way you lie
    2015: Monster
    Etc...

And made this statement on the matter...

    Rap god
When they get jealous, they confuse it
"It's not hip hop, it's pop."
'Cause I found a hella way to fuse it

He even acknowledged his own downfall here ...

    Rap god
You get too big and here they come trying to
Censor you like that one line I said
On "I'm Back" from the Mathers LP
One when I tried to say I'll take seven kids from Columbine
Put 'em all in a line
Add an AK-47, a revolver and a nine
See if I get away with it now
That I ain't as big as I was
    , but I'm

Eminem came out with a album in: 1995s infinite, 1997s SSEP, 1999s SSLP, 2000s TMMLP, 2001s DN , 2002s TES, 2004s Encore.... 7 albums in 9 years.....plus numerous guest feats.
    Eminem's new pace?: 2009s Relapse, 2010s Recovery, 2011s BME, TMMLP 2 2013... 4 in 9 years

    New eminem YODELS. WTF?

Eminem was never a fan of 808 drums, or techno, yet the algorithms to his songs, synths used, etc, maintain a level of synthetic, digital, as opposed to natural, analogue, feel, which was his original foundation for his earlier songs.

Early eminem was not big on compression, and had a dither in each song reminiscent of a tape or vinyl record.

Here is 97 Bonnie and Clyde

    bonnie and clyd.JPG
    bonnie.JPG
New eminem is overly compressed to the point that the music might as well be a 6 khz fm radio wave. It lacks dithering also, which takes away all nostalgic value, as well as give it a very digital feel, which is more common among southern rap and techno.

Notice the prevalence of high hats, snares, etc...

    Here is Berzerk

    Berzerk.JPG
    Clyde.JPG

Notice the flatness and blandness of the track, the lack of peaks, etc. Basically, the snares are as loud as the kicks, when really, the snars should be as loud as the vocals, and the rest should vary. Over compression at its finest.

Second off, tupac was, and is the illest out there. Eminem was, and still only was, the second best. then nas, then ghostface, method man, rugged man, dmx, jay z, and a couple more.
Before you go insulting my boys intelligence, ask yourself, what facts do you have to argue with? Your turn. Play your cards. No opinion, straight fact, cause thats what i gave you.

@trivio, stop derailing my thread and you wont get bumped! I am and always will be a HUGE fan of Eminem, so this is in no way a diss to him....

    Eminem failed the 9th grade 3 time's....
    (Source http://articles.latimes.com/2000/may/14/entertainment/ca-29770/3)

"Eminem explains why he dropped out of school. "I was a smart kid, but I hated school. I failed ninth grade three times. I just wanted to rap. I'd go to friends' houses and rap, or I'd stay in my room all day, standing by the mirror and lip-syncing songs, trying on different clothes, trying to look cool. I knew every song by LL [Cool J] and Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys."

I just stuck on one part. Anybody who calling Love The Way You Lie or The Monster should gtfo because if that's not hip hop, how come Future, Drake or any rapper that came out recently hiphop ? Eminem says that he is so good at making hit songs that you b------s saying he's pop when he is not even close. He might as well said after The Eminem Show since all of his first singles were kinda pop for that matter.

Featuring Rihanna is not same with attacking pop stars back in the days.
Eminem used to hate pop stars. But after MMLP it kinda became obvious that it's his formula for 1st singles to rhyme some of the celebrity names. It's not that he had personal hatred...
He never ever said Rihanna s----d or any of the artists he has ever worked with.
Plus, Jay-Z Kanye all had songs with her and even more popish songs than Eminem had.

Anyway, I'M tired of explainin those but saying that Eminem became pop and featuring with artists he used make fun of is basically same as getting offended by fa---- word used by Eminem or by other controversial things he has said before...

Your reply is much appreciated, and the first legible, intelligent, reply, so major propz.
The root of the word Pop, im assuming, stands for popular. SO in a way you are right, and wrong, all at once, a ANOMILIE per se, because if anything popular is what he was against, then he was a hypocrite from the first mainstream album TSSLP, and especially his more mainstream TMMLP (Ironically the same album he stands most against POP culture, hence the anomilie) in all technicality. So, with roots of hypocritical tendencies, in that vein, he never strayed from his original approach. You are correct, he never "Dissed" rhianna, but he did "Diss" singers of similar likeness, such as aliyah, Mariah Carey, etc. I always found his ability to be multiple in his personalitys intriguing, aka, slim shady, love kim/hate kim, etc. Maybe him being that hypocrite was something i admired after all. Artistic expression at its finest.

Well, I know pop stands for popular but actually it have became a new genre. Many music stores like iTunes are even seperated a genre under the name of Pop. It's not Eminem tho. he's always hip hop. Metallica was once very successful I guess. They were pretty much popular. Queen was so popular. Beatles were so popular but those never called to be makin pop music. Makin' music that's popular doesn't mean you become a popstar or pop singer.

As for Mariah thing, We all know Em never ever dissed her musical talent or anything. They had a relationship and broke up. After that, Mariah ignored the whole thing, Obsessed came out etc etc...

I forgot to say few things in my previous post I guess. Eminem used to hate some pop acts but not all of them. he didn't hate Elton John for example. He didn't hate pop culture, it was all in The Way I Am book and interviews. He mainly just used those names to rhyme and also like I've said for his singles.. He had few real problems such as Christina Aguleira thing which was because Em was young and had issues with anger management. He used to get mad so easily etc.

Last but not least, Eminem grew as a person as an artist. He slowed down with the temper issues. He grew up. Each and every one of us go thru similar things. Our wearing styles change, taste in music changes etc.

Yes, but i never said otherwise. The second part you failed to post, "CAUSE I FOUND A HELLA WAY TO FUZE IT", was him admiting o interpolating pop into his tracks, so, like the media, you failed your peers by taking something out of context to speak upon it. Where im from, we call that talking just to hear yourself talk. Good job.

some good points made. Eminems return since 2009 has been terrible. Recovery was decent but aged badly & everything else has had no replay value whatsoever.

Its hard to say if in his prime that recreational drugs helped him with nerves etc but since he has came back he has struck me as a guy not cut out for fame at all
which Im not sure whether this has impacted his music as well or what his situation with Interscope is. Getting beats sent with pop hooks is a sign of his laziness.
But Eminem to me is not longer cut out to be a rapper & should retire. A big failing of his is that im nearly sure he barely leaves his home so also doesn't have much to rap about like in his early career & likes to stay in his comfort zone musically as well.

The thing about him finding h--- a way to fuse it is what all popular rappers do. Kanye West does it, Drake does it, those new comers like Travis Scott Future doing it (more unsuccessfully). So any rapper that actually popular is a pop artist then.

Or he meant he fused pop into hip hop in a way that made audiences from both genre's enjoy his music, so, like other haters of Eminem's current music, you are letting your biased opinion find any single way to hate his music and attempted to make others see "How he fell off." You also failed the basics of debating and started trying to talk s--- about a guy you know nothing about just because I disagreed with you. Round of applause to you.
