    No i think you missed the point too, the way triplets work as syncopation to the 4/4 signature is unique in the way it phases in and out of beat. the engaging feeling u get from that isn't rly found in any other rhythm as of rn. Taking it back to normal time couplets is taking away the color, and even tho i dont think rap has much left as a movement on its own, the oversaturated triplet use is a movement thats gnna push rhythmic boundaries further. Would love to hear something like quintlets over a 3/4 bar.

    Back in tha days this pattern was one of the flow parts that has been doing Bone Thugs, 3 6 Mafia, Tech N9ne etc. during their verses. Now this one pattern become standard for whole verses of whole industry. Invention? h--- naw.

    well i wouldn't say your article is wrong or anything like that, seems pretty accurate to me (kind of unrelated but when i first heard sucide boys i thought "white RG posters replicate 3 6 mafia - never really drew the triplet flow comparison though but it makes sense now that its been pointed out to me)
