Sep 2, 2018 JAY-Z at the age of 47 was able to make. a critically acclaimed album and all the attention given to 4:44 was off the strength of the music. JAY-Z was able to grow as an artist and further his horizons giving us something so self reflective and vulnerable that we hadn't seen from him. Eminem on the other hand, insecure because of how trashed his last release was rushed an album relying on cheap disses towards YouTube personalities and C list rappers with a cryptic Drake shot thrown in for attention. Whyd he mention LIL XAN by name but not Drake? Because this tough guy attitude is a front he was hurt by watching his own fall from relevancy and he's not about to bury himself in the sand by directly mentioning Drake as a diss but had no problem doing so saying people copy Drake LOL This "Rap God" of yours is nothing but a mortal unable to make an album that can stand on its own two feet he needs gimmicks HOV doesn't
Sep 2, 2018 Oh look another Eminem fan that can't make a rational response because their fandom is centered around their childhood and Eminem being white
Sep 2, 2018 Not a fair comparison really because one is the goat and the other made 5 average albums in a row
Sep 2, 2018 These Stans think Eminem is the GOAT. Let's not ignore Jay-Zs last album was MCHG a desperate attempt at relevant production that aged poorly and art name drops yet HOV was still able to do what I said op
Sep 2, 2018 He didn’t diss lil whatever, and I think he didn’t diss drake by name because Drake didn’t do anything to him, so he starts with subs. I bet you if Drakes takes that bate em will diss him without any subs
Sep 2, 2018 We can debate what IFs all day but the stone cold fact is he could say Drake's name when giving him praise ie people copy him but when it comes to ghost writing and who delusional a--- Eminem thinks is #1 he didn't mention Drake by name.
Sep 2, 2018 I mean, if acclaim from critics is how you form an opinion of an album then that's fair enough. But it's one of those things where critics will always slander Eminem's best work but will always give praise to people's worst work like Jay Z and Kanye. Unfortunately Eminem just has too many fans worldwide who like his music for a bunch of reasons and it's pretty much impossible to please everybody.
