Lately I've been very stressed and upset a lot with constant mood swings and I have kind of come to the conclusion that it may be that I just kinda need to get my life in order. I'm currently still in high school but have absolutely no idea what I am wanting to do out of school, these last two years of school are meant to be for me to study for my future job but I have no idea what I want that to be. I enjoy photoshopping, editing music, literally just doing anything that involves editing I enjoy. I only just pass my classes but in my Photoshop class I am always getting A's. I just don't know what kind of jobs you can get to do with editing and what I can do to approach that job. On top of that I'm currently working a part time job after school hours that I strongly dislike and I'm only getting one shift a week ($50) from it which isn't much at all, Its just kinda messing with my head a bit.

youve got it easy for now maybe get into music studies do an audio engineering course just follow what you want to do i dropped out of school when i was 15 so stay learn ad much as u can find the right job dont take something that u wont like doing im 23 years old and i still havent landed a full time job

in year 10, i realized my dream, knew the course i wanted to go into after school, needed an OP 6 and was more than willing to work my a--- off to achieve it. I reach year 11 and 12 and find, it's not my choice, but my teachers choice. My hopes,/dreams/aspirations and first steps into the real world down the drain. Still felt a lot of pressure from mother to stay in school and not drop out to work. So instead of putting up with kicking my a--- to get assignments done, with enormous amounts of effort and the best possible crack i could give it, just to get fucken D's cause my teacher is some f---ing maniacal c---- that hated me... I stopped giving a s---, went to high school high as s--- everyday and treated it like a big f---ing playground. Majority of teachers were fuckwits and wouldn't take me seriously, so i didn't take any of them seriously after.

your head's gonna be f----- for a while mate, comes with growing up and s---. especially year 11/12 thats when your bodies puberty s----s hitting the fan. mood swings and all that are gonna be big things for ya, just try to stay grounded. Keep your job, the pay is s---, but it could always be less. the fact you can get $50 a week from work is great, it's not that much, but it's enough for you to get by in your current status in life. Stay working and good chance if your atleast somewhat enthusiastic or put in a word asking for more shifts, theyll give you more eventually. Just stay there and look for new/better work. Don't worry aobut what you want to be. Every f---ing fa---- from woodridge to the gold coast will tell you "oh this ur most important time! decide what u want to be forever. rite now!!' f--- them off, they are r-----ed as s--- most people before their 30's have no f---ing clue what they want to do, so just dont stress on that s---.

If possible, I strongly suggest leaving school to work, if you can. It's a great way to get a head start in life and you might think "f--- i dont want to start working all the time now" but i wish i had this knowledge when i was in year 10. I would of DROPPED that s--- so hard and fucken worked everyday. In High School if you want good grades, you better hope you've been a straight a/b student your whole life that's never been in detention or to the office. Or you end up spending 2 years getting an OP you don't want. (also Queensland has a piss poor curriculum/education system so f--- em bro)

HAHA man thanks so much, really didn't expect a response this long. It really helped bud, didn't know you were that local but yeah man I'll just sorta stick to what I'm doing now... I guess it'll just come to me eventually what I wanna do. And yeah QLD curriculum sucks d-ck, teachers are absolutely f----- and could care less about your education and for the most part nothing you do ends up mattering in the future.

yeah, it's my fault that i go from straight D's and C's to a B+/A- student at the exact same time my teacher gets sick for the rest of the year and we get a replacement to mark assessment.

i know you're trying your hardest to like "one up" me or some s--- but i'm always gonna be better than you ya s--- c---- lol

I was the same.

Look into web/app design. Start recreating and redesigning existing websites and apps. Literally copy shots from Dribbble. Come up with your own web and app ideas and design those. Create an online portfolio using Squarespace. Nothing in your portfolio needs to be real. Just practice. Practice. Practice. Practice until you get good enough to freelance. Use those freelance projects in your portfolio. Get a job at a startup or agency.

Development is an even better skill. Learn javascript now and you're guaranteeing yourself a $100k+ job in the future.

You don't need a degree for any of this (but it helps)
