Apr 8, 2018 The flows, the freelancing beat, the punchlines, the hook that harkens back to his 2000s era, the Kent Jones refrain, and the shock value that has been with him since My Name Is thats still there. You get all of that in this song. It's a highlight in his post hiatus catalog and no matter what you think about the hook, the song is great. After d--- near 20 years he can still be compelling lyrically Facts only. Discuss below
Apr 8, 2018 yeah man we really need that s-----y excuse for a hook and rappity rap garbage you gotta be trolling at this point tone
Apr 8, 2018 This dude used to come up with the catchiest hooks. What the f--- happened? Also, he needs someone in his corner with a good ear. Someone in his camp, after hearing the Framed and Offended hooks, should have immediately told him to re-write them. Or worst case, he should just use a f---ing sample with scratches if he can’t create a decent hook. That way these choruses don’t completely ruin any enjoyment of these songs and k--- any replay-ability.
Apr 8, 2018 This has to be the most split track on Revival. People either love it or hate it. Me personally, I dig the verses... hook is s--- but doesn’t ruin the song for me. It’s still leagues better than something like Big Weenie.
Apr 8, 2018 Actually I agree I don’t know why some people over exaggerate on this song so much it’s like his most hated song by few people here or anywhere else i’m like he could’ve maybe had this on mmlp or tes somewhere and fans alike would either give loving praises or trash it like how certain people are doing now
Apr 8, 2018 On paper, the song is dope. That is what Em excels at these days. The song isn't terrible on the ears but it isn't the most pleasing. It is better than his 2014-16 choppy s---. However, the entire song is merely decent. The big problem with his s--- now a days is that he sounds like multiple rappers are on the song. The few times he changed up cadences, flows, tones, etc. in his prime he did it where it flowed smooth or where it was barely noticeable. Now, he raps with a smooth normal voice then does that weird deep un-layered voice out of nowhere then goes into this rappity rap tripple time s--- then back to a normal flow...and so on. It is annoying as f---. Switch the flow up once and keep it. Don't cram a bunch of s--- into one f---ing verse. It kills the vibe big time. That is my biggest gripe with current Em. It isn't THAT noticeable on Revival but it is still very present. He needs to stop that and make a song that is cohesive and doesn't sound like a battle rapper combined random sections from battles, songs, freestyles, etc. together into one song. On a positive note, the chorus is f---ing dope. Anyone who hates it or says it ruins the song can s--- a fat smelly c---. b----.
