Jun 18, 2020 Will we get some announcement today regarding this classic album? discuss this album. Whats your favourite song?
Jun 18, 2020 Always loved Recovery. I know. It’s not his best but it was special at that moment for me. Plus recovery era was the last time that Em was BIG. He was on the top of the world again and i felt happy to see that. Even the collaborations of that era were sooo dope, Airplanes pt 2 top 5 Em verse ever and i love Where im at Ft Lloyd Banks. Fav songs : Cold winds blows, GTC, Not afraid, Seduction, No love, Cinderella Man, Almost Famous and untitled. The problem with Recovery is that Em tried to recreate that success too many times after 2010. He ruined the concept of MMLP2 and we all know what happened with revival. Recovery should have been just that: 1 album with that style.
Jun 18, 2020 Exactly, it really should’ve been a one time thing. He then should’ve ditched all the commercial s--- except for the 1st or 2nd single to get some numbers in later albums.
Jun 18, 2020 everyone loved the album when it first came out. Remember the era very well. Space Bound,Talking to Myself & Going Through Changes great songs. Made no better songs since
Jun 18, 2020 GTC, Not Afraid, Seduction, No Love, Space Bound, Cinderella Man, 25 To life (grim beat though) in order too d---
Jun 18, 2020 Solid album, some great songs on it for sure. I used to say it's Eminem's 4th classic, but MTBMB dropped. I'd like to hear some unreleased songs from that era tbh.
Jun 18, 2020 Decent. Few personal songs are great (t2m, gtc, ur never over, space bound) and some of the fun songs (cinderella man / wtp) I don't hate as much as some tbh. Cold wind blows, almost famous were nice at first but now not so much for me. Same goes for not afraid, love u lie, on fire, wont back down. Conclusion, ok album for me. The feature era I liked though, where im at / airplanes especially
Jun 18, 2020 I liked it when it dropped and it was def a "moment" in terms of his career but it's easily his second worst album after Revival. Aged horribly (and prob wasn't that great at the time either I think we were just excited for the shift from relapse). Production is terrible, full of bad punchlines, has some of his most soulless pop songs. Tried listening to it again in the past six months and I couldn't make it through. Spacebound, Going Through Changes, Wayne's verse on No Love are good. f--- da world feed it beans itS GASSED UP
Jun 18, 2020 I remember the moment it fully registered just how corny a lot of the album was when I was at a Mariners game about a year after it came out and someone's walk up song was "Not Afraid" and my friends and I all died laughing.
Jun 18, 2020 Recovery is aight. The problem is the corny "Lil Wayne influenced" punchlines all over the album. Not gonna lie though, I still bump Space Bound, Seduction and Going Through Changes sometimes.
