Jan 31, 2020 Love Royce and think he’s an amazing lyricist. But he has the worst production ever on his albums with the exception of death is certain. Needs to stop being a cheap a--- and producing his own beats.
Feb 1, 2020 This is okay. Layers Phryme Bar exam 4 Book of Ryan All fantastic, overlooked albums. Book of Ryan is powerful and beautifully produced for the most part. Just not sure how I feel this album is going to be. Looks bloated and I’m worried about an all Royce production project...I guess we will find out. this is probably the best song released yet. Overcomer beat had SO much potential but he kind of botched it. Fantastic f---ing verses from both though. Black Savage has a stellar Royce verse but can’t make through that god awful hook. Other than Revival, Royce is honestly top 3 doing it right now. Rhyming with a purpose. This man is truly in his prime.
Feb 1, 2020 I was so scared hearing anymore Royce beats after Overcomer and the crazy chorus part of You Gon’ Learn. But wow! This is fantastic.
Feb 1, 2020 It’s been out https://ambrosiaforheads.com/2020/01/royce-5-9-allegory-tracklist-features/
Feb 1, 2020 Do we have an official release date yet? Last thing I saw was him saying sometime mid February the latest.
Feb 1, 2020 How do rappers with money like Royce and Eminem rap over the WORST production ever. Yet we have Jack Harlow of all people rapping over insane beats and that dude has small pockets. This song is a 2/10. Horrible beat, horrible flow, lyrics are meh.
Feb 2, 2020 Royce produced it himself lol literally only started beat making like last year or something. Go and listen to his other single ‘Overcomer’ if you want to hear a terrible beat... Worst beat iv ever heard for a respected rapper.
Feb 2, 2020 Royce sounds great when he is on someone else's album and has a proper beat and mix. It is hard to judge this song, because the mix is so bad. Would love to see him with a legit Shady release with know producers and Dre mixing.
Feb 2, 2020 Album is the 21st. And yeah you gon learn was supposed to be on his album. He said EM really loved it tho so he told em "you can have it you know? What's mine is always yours" And as far as overcomer. He said westside Gunn came out and they were starting the song from scratch. He said he started with the sample and Gunn told him keep that. Royce said he told him "it's only 2 bars tho it's not enough" and said gunn insisted so he obliged him. Me personally I like his drum patterns in that and this new beat is hard imo. Royce put 2 beats up on beatstars last year and I really f--- with his drum patterns. That being said I do think the vocals on I dont age are sitting to much in the mix to the point it's almost under the beat. The vocal tracks need a little air in them on the high end EQ. But I also like the compression on his vocals, its similar to how it was on the first PRhyme album. His compression/saturation combo is cool IMO. I'm also kinda surprised by peoples views on layers and book of Ryan on this site. Those are stellar albums IMO. Esp layers with pray, starter coat, gotta know, quiet, flesh, hard. I'm looking forward to the album.
Feb 24, 2021 What the f--- is on that pendrive Royce gave to Crook at the end of this video, Glasshouse? Beats for Crooks album? I miss Slaughterhouse tbh.
