It seems hes finally getting that we are sick of this pop s---.
I doubt he would have seen or realized it if Revival wasnt as bad as it was.

anyway I am freaking hyped now. His next LP will be fire !

But if Revival wasn't as bad as it was, then we wouldn't complain. You're saying "we're lucky Eminem didn't put out a good album because he's going to put out a good album"

I thought the same when Em spit "even pop s--- on my pop s---" and "if you thought this was Love the Way You Lie part 12" in 2013. Four years later we get Revival.

I have no faith in Em to make a consistent, uncompromised album now. None.

Not saying he cannot or will not. But I have 0 faith he will, even after this verse. Love the verse though.

I listened to Recovery at the gym today for the first time in ages. Like more than 80% of it would be the best song on MMLP2 AND Revival.

He might not make an uncompromised album, but he has proven to both me and you that he can go all out in increments.

A difference tho is Recovery was highly praised in the mainstream and sold very well, same with mmlp2, so he had no real reason to change his style. revival was trashed all around and sales were much lower so now he has an actual reason to

That's true. I never thought about that. Now that the pop isn't selling for him, he's pissed.

I am glad he did the Revival album but not for all the obvious wrong reasons some fans with that saying i’ll always support what Eminem does with his music unlike few certain fans here and there I look forward to his next project likewise

Just curious. The same people that always complain about pop, didn't they call Recovery bad as well? I know that wpg swizz etc also trash that album. "Pink doesnt belong here", "f--- lil wayne", "lmao @ pop s---" Also on mmlp2 people complained about the female hooks as well.

But those albums did well, sold a lot. So eminem didn't give a s---. Now people say the same but it also flopped. And NOW he responds to it lol.

No, he should've just released a decent album. He's still clearly able to do that.

None of those people were complaining about it WHEN it dropped. That happened later in 2010. The only real problem I remember them(myself included) having with it immediately is Won't Back Down.

Alright. I joined SL in 2011 so I didn't know how they initially reacted to Recovery. I do remember a lot of people calling it a s--- album. Personally I don't care at all about 'pop features'. None of the songs are ruined by the singers, but by Eminem himself, or the production, but not the featured artists.. goes for revival, recovery and mmlp2 by the way.

Fire thread is Fire. Listen to his last interview. His canvas is full. Pop singers were something to add to the canvas that he hadnt done but now hes got nothing left that we havent heard.

Recovery would be a very good 10 track album.

As an aside, I rarely see people bring up “Almost Famous” as one of his better post-hiatus songs but I think that song is f---ing fantastic.
