Sep 13, 2017 If this topic has been discussed, I apologize for starting it up again but I'm curious how you all feel about your national anthem. As most of you know Professional American Football Player Colin Kaepernick sat down during the American National Anthem before his games as a 49er as a silent protest to the injustices and issues we have in America right now. If your country gives you free speech to protest issues going on in your country, do you think it's ok or not ok to sit down when your national anthem is playing? Are people making this a big deal for no reason?
Sep 13, 2017 It's def ok lol If someone sitting down during a song pisses u off and at the top of your worries then life must be pretty good for you
Sep 13, 2017 It's a tradition on all U.S. military installations to play the reveille and the national anthem Monday through Friday at certain times of the day. Everyone that works on these bases knows the times they are played. 99.9% of people will literally hide in their cars, buildings or make a mad dash for a location inside so that they don't have to stand and salute while the music is playing. What I'm getting at is there's no way in the world any military vet or someone currently serving should be offended of this with the way we act about it. I know d--- well I've speed walked or sat in my car until the anthem was over. I haven't met someone yet that served that didn't subconsciously think about avoiding the anthem.
Sep 13, 2017 it's absolutely okay to not feel pressured into standing for a f---ing song lol no one is, nor should they feel obligated to do so, whether it's to make a statement about it, or simply because you cbf to do it, it's irrelevant and people need to get over it
Sep 13, 2017 Change the national anthem to Ignition Remix and I'll stand for that b---- when I watch football in my living room
Sep 13, 2017 n----s thinking u making a socio political statement about the current state of the country but really u just can't remember the lyrics
Sep 13, 2017 People that are mad about others not standing for the anthem are making it out to be about something it's not. People who protest the anthem aren't doing it to disrespect veterans or military service members. It literally has nothing to do with them. If you still feel disrespected knowing that...idk what to tell you.

Sep 14, 2017 i mean the whole celebration is to show your freedom, yet people are getting mad that players exercise that freedom by sitting. Sitting is part of free speech and freedom of expression, i would personally not do it but let them do what they want bc they have that right
