Honestly, expected. What else could they even do with the Switch design? It's pretty perfect. I imagine this is just a switch on steroids (yet still a generation backwards hardware wise)

I wanna get this. Hopefully they fix the major stick drift problems the first one had. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t get the first switch.

I got the OG switch on the first day, don’t play it as much as I used to but I love it still. Don’t think I’ll get switch 2 day 1, I’ll give it some time

I think I’m ready for this. I’ve never properly owned a Nintendo console. I’ve only played on other people’s SNES, 3DS, Switch, and probably other consoles I’m forgetting about. I really wanna play Mario party with my Nintendo pals.

This switch just better be able to play more powerful games. Thats all they were lacking. I have a new xbox and a Oled switch and still use the switch more. If it is backwards compatible, I’m just keeping the Oled. BOTW and Tears of kingdom are arguably better than anything Sony or Xbox made this generation tbh. I still like messing with Mario 64 on the side, never beat it or played as a kid

I honestly don't care about powerful games. They don't mean s--- these days minus a few.

Nintendo first party games + Indy games on the Switch >>> Every other console

I’d rather play true rpg’s, turn based games on the switch. They may only make a few main series but they deliver on their main games. I did read the new odyssey is 5-7 times bigger than the first. I just wanted the resident evil 4 remake on the switch, FF7 remake. Bigger titles like that. Smash brothers isn’t the same feeling as GameCubes. Still holding onto 3d all stars since there was limited print. Mario galaxy while stoned is a top Mario game for me.

I had zero stick drift issues with joy cons and bought the pro controller. You’re trolling with this, the play station has major drift stick problems. My brother in laws ps5 controller is garbage with stick drift. 2 sets of joycons, a controller and never once got stick drift.

My Xbox elite controller is nice asf, has magnetic analogs. I can get a kit if wanted a bigger analog or back buttons but it’s smooth asf as it is. It’s $175 brand new, got it for $67 online still in the box:

As long as I can run games without lag and run original switch games above 30 fps I’ll be happy. The hardware is old asf on the original in 2024.

There’s some titles I’ve wanted to buy but avoided because of performance issues that circulated the internet on release.

I have these exclusive Mario Odyssey ones. They started to drift after like 6 months of having the console.

Unfortunately if I sent them for repair they would’ve just sent back generic ones, so I had to fix it myself by opening it up and putting a piece of f---ing paper underneath the joycon. It works now, but like, seriously?

I'm not an experienced gamer by any stretch but I've heard that backwards compatibility typically doesn't come with graphical or performance improvements. You would think loading times at least would improve though.

I haven't played a Nintendo game since I was a kid and not gonna lie, I miss Pokemon sometimes, but then I remember reading about the mess they made with the last one and seeing those a--- graphics in 2024...

Nintendo is the only gaming company that consistently makes great games.

Nintendo Switch is the greatest gaming system of all time and I expect the Switch 2 to be an incredible successor.

PS5 us utter trash, and my Xbox is just okay.

I’m holding onto the Oled until seeing what kind of games the switch 2 can actually run. The only titles so far they’re releasing with the switch 2 is a Metroid prime game. They better not have trashed Odyssey 2, I’d think they’d wait until the switch 2 to release it. And a Pokemon legends game from what I remember watching games releasing on switch 2.

All mainline Pokemon games after Crystal are a mess, or at least disappointing. Gen 3 was all right for the time but had lost most of the edge of its forefathers. And the rest..I don't even know what I'm looking at in playthrough vids.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Better graphics and more open-world freedom won't enliven Pokemon. They need to go back to their roots and make a gritty retro-style throwback.




But I'm probably reminiscing to someone who's never even played these games, and thinks of Pokemon: Fairies and Unicorns as classic Pokemon.
