Sep 11, 2017 I get it, stans circlejerk the lyrics on forums all day everyday, so they look good when you read them, but id like to direct your attention to a few points which make it factually the worst song on the album and overall, a bad song. first off, this Compton album is a soundtrack to Compton and Dre's collective feelings, thoughts, emotions etc in his rollercoaster ride of life in Compton. Eminem is a junkie, not a thug, not a d--- dealer, not from compton. so already hes looking slightly out of place. next, id like to look att the content of the songs. every song on the album in one way or another relates to poverty life in compton, hardships of living in compton, dres experiences in compton etc etc. So how does Eminem near-crying 2 verses about the start of his career fit on this album? it doesn't. 3rd just... thats the start of his s-----y accent+screaming and his voice is all over the place the entire song and it sounds like s---. i spelt the words how he said them, because stans have been reading lyrics off paper since Compton dropped they think its a good verse lol. It sounds like s---. Later on ill take a pic of my itunes, compton has many plays on it, where as medicine man has 1 maybe 2. actually i think i may have even deleted it, it was that bad a *song".
Sep 11, 2017 Meh. Like yeah it's not the best Em verse ever but it's in no way s--- or sounds s---. It's just good. But it's definitely not the worst on Compton.

Sep 11, 2017 I dunno man, people like different things, like yep I love his TES voice but I honestly can't stand his nasally high pitch voice, from i think, uhh SSLP, to the point I can't listen to very many songs of it in a row.
Sep 11, 2017 Hah not quite , it's a different tone it's not the super nasally high pitch, not like the one I don't like anyway, for example one of the songs with the voice I don't like is Low down and dirty from SSEP and to an extent the voice from say As The World Turns.
Sep 11, 2017 And Medicine man is him using these collective experiences to declare himself as an authority figure and be the medicine man of the ghetto with his music. The Compton narrative connects it to the album, but the song itself is mainly about being a preacher with your music. And dre does this with a confrontational tone. He's somewhat aggressive and unforgiving in his words. He's calling things out, taking shots at modern culture and declaring himself to be the saviour of music (and by extension,the inner city). Fortunately, the song is about being from Compton, it's about being an authority figure with your music and about taking shots at societies flaws. Being the Medicine man if you will. You missed the point of the song. The context is surface level and much less important. It's about being aggressive with your music. Dre being the medicine man isn't him healing people. It's him taking shots at them and calling them about. Taking shots at people might be the only thing em knows how to do. But it's not out of place on the song. The execution is flawed, the production and the sound, being down to dre's poor mixing is bad and the aesthetic of the sound was already radically different, a beat change just made it worse. They should have tried making em rap on the beat instead of phoning a verse in and making them f--- around with it. f---ing idiot is what you are if you think that's an argument. Because rappers are known for their perfect english.
