Mar 30, 2018 Agree about that album But I just started listening to Doggystyle and boy that s--- still heaven
Mar 30, 2018 Every album from the 80s tbh, perhaps its an acquired taste but I swear I feel like a Kangol hat is floating down on my head and my monitors turn into a boombox anytime I ever listen to 80s rap
Mar 30, 2018 I don't really let time periods or current trends influence my enjoyment of an album. Its probably nostalgia influenced i dunno
Mar 30, 2018 Can't think of any entire albums, most s--- from the 80's still holds up to me. The only time rap gets dated to me is when it's so of it's time that it doesn't work removed from it, like the pop culture references on Eminem's first three albums or the song about pagers on Low End Theory.
Mar 30, 2018 Good music is, good music regardless of the time period It doesn't really take away my enjoyment
Mar 30, 2018 Yeah i mean if you watch one of your favourite movies thats from the 80s the sfx aren't as good but it doesn't ruin your enjoyment. I don't get why it should with music
Mar 31, 2018 Okay but that's not what the thread is about. This rakim album sounds so old and archaic I can't enjoy it
