Jun 16, 2018 i want to start playing cod and i cant decide on where i should start, i have a low spec pc so the latest game i can run smoothly is probably black ops 2, can u suggest where i should start also, do i have to play mw1 to understand mw2 and 3 ?
Jun 16, 2018 These games where really only special for the multiplayer and culture at the time....the single player campaign will only impress you if you've hardly played video games
Jun 16, 2018 They're very run of the mill, 5 hour action movie affairs....the original Modern Warfare campaign was really special for its time due to the subject matter which hadnt been over saturated like it has now. They're not terrible for their time but if I put myself in your shoes I don't think they would be worth playing the first time in 2018 bud
Jun 16, 2018 Call of duty and other military games hadn't tackled real life modern warfare like fighting in the Middle East and red dot sights and nukes etc It was all World war 2 and such until then basically
Jun 16, 2018 Nah they had tackled that s--- many times. It just wasnt mainstream and mainly pc only games that did that. Cod actually did nothing new with their campaigns, they just made people who hadnt played much think they did. Cod4 campaign was never very good compared to the other good ones from that same year honestly.
Jun 16, 2018 I mean I obviously wasn't saying it was the first game that did but it was the game that did and ushered modern war games into the mainstream The multiplayer was very influential too for the next generation of games and only in recent years have games really moved away from the cod4 template

Jun 16, 2018 yea which brings me to my first response These are the B-movie action films of the video game world as far as campaign goes... @Broccoli Tree maybe play cod4 for the sake of playing something that was important for video game history but otherwise I'd play some other games fam

Aug 16, 2018 CoD4 campaign is still amazing to me. The Chernobyl portion of the game is still especially worth playing.
