I started watching season 20 yesterday and I honestly love how they point out how america currently is (well, its from a few years back but still): sjw/pc vs racist bigot, two extremes constantly fighting. Also love that they created a whole season storyline covering all current events in an actual story in South Park instead of just standalone's. Like they have been doing for a while now.

But the good old days (I 'member!) had mostlt classic, stand alone episodes. Loved that as well and also that they literally made fun of everyone!

    What are your favorites?

    - "I made you eat ur parents" - Scott Tenerman Must Die is definitely one of them for me. Most of them where Cartman is on some savage s--- are nice af tbh.

Not a fan of the star wars / coon and friends bs, I prefer 'real life' episodes.

The ones that always stay in my mind are the Starving Marvin episodes but I'd probably big any of the recent Tegridy episodes. It's probably not a popular opinion but they were so d--- perfect.

Yeah imo Randy and Cartman are the only ones that can pull of an episode centered about them. And maybe Butters.

You should hand in those icons next to your name, because that's blasphemy!

No but seriously, you haven't even been curious enough to watch one?

So you did like what you saw in the clips then? Maybe you're not a lost cause... Just stop dodging the full episodes like Neo and you'll be fine.

I don’t think it’s so much about being more PC, I think they’re focused on having the episodes relate more to current events. They used to do entire episodes based on absurd premises without it having to be about politics, culture, etc. For the past decade or even longer they’ve been more concerned with making it applicable to what’s currently happening. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it’s helped keep the show fresh after 20 something years but it does put them in a box. Like how they’ve done the season long arcs the past few seasons. It’s worked for them but then also kept them constrained a bit.

I meant that in the past they did things they probably wont nowadays.

I like the storyline concept. Except that before you could just watch a standalone episode no problem, now there are things u kinda have to know before watching an episode, like the Garrison being president thing and Randy being Lorde for example. Its weird if u watch an episode not knowing it w the new seasons.

I do however like the new concept.
