I never thought it would but me and my girlfriend were listening to Arthur Russell and answer me came on. Turns out all I could think about was 30 hours which made me throw the album on and oh boy, it still sounds as great as it did the night I stayed up until midnight to hear it.
It certainly has its weird moments and stuff that may age badly but I feel like the real rap songs on here (30 hours, nmpila, real friend) will be immortalized as truly classic songs. Is this the last true Kanye album?

Agreed on the last great Ye album. Probably in my top three personal favorites from him

I kind of agree and kind of don’t. If songs like wolves highlights had better verses from ye they’d be absolute classics but at the same time they’re iconic on they’re own right. Ultralight bean is also a perfect song and no one takes about how vulnerable and good the fsmh pt2 verse is. It’s a good album plain and simple

I think the which/one theme of the album gets forgotten a lot by casuals but if you listen to it with that in mind it really is a masterpiece

A funny part is when he repeats “ima have the last laugh in the end (Indian), cause I’m from a tribe called check a hoe” as if it’s the craziest bar ever recorded

Couple of really good tracks but that's about it.

His last great album for me was MDBTF.

Putting TLOP and masterpiece in the same sentence is laughable though. If TLOP is a masterpiece, what the h--- does that make MDBTF?

I said his last great album for me.

I did want to add that I wasn't a fan of Yeezus before someone quoted my post throwing a fit. But I thought it would be clear enough by saying for me.

No need to start throwing insults because someone doesn't agree with your dumbass opinion that TLOP is a f---ing masterpiece. Pretty sure that it's generally agreed upon that TLOP is one of his weaker albums and a step down from his previous albums.

Masterpiece is the pinnacle. There can't be anything better than a f---in masterpiece. Quit using that word to describe medicore albums.

MBDTF is Kanye's last great album.

TLOP grew on me a lot. I grabbed an extended version on this forum and enjoyed it. That said, Kanye's consistently good production is frequently undermined by his wildly inconsistent vocal performances. He's been a pretty s--- 'rapper' for a long time, too incoherent to sound like anything else, and it has hurt a lot of his later material. His better work of late to me has been on the subject of mental health, because frankly it adds a layer to him sounding so unwell.

For the record i dont think yeezus is classic. Anybody can make an album with 5 great songs. I admit the 5 songs are brilliant but no

Too many Yeezus snubs itt, top 3 Kanye album

TLOP is a mixed bag, some of it’s great, some of it really sucks. I don’t think it ruined his discography or anything, but it was easily his worst album up to that point and the cracks were definitely starting to show. I’d k--- for a TLOP tier album at this point tho.

Yeah it has some gems for sure. But I cant help thinking... man this production, it could have been mbdtf level or at least close. Like u said highlights was ok but man what it could have been.

Fml and waves same thing, half assed verses.. and then f---ing up OG Wolves with that r-----ed verse.

But to me, Real Friends and bonus track Saint Pablo are some of my favorite kanye songs oat so its not a complete waste.. just overall more let down by the potential it had than how good some parts were you know?

It was his least cohesive album to date. One of the messiest rollouts I’ve ever seen as well. I still don’t know if I have the final “version” or not. Stopped giving a s--- after the first two revisions.

Plenty of great songs, don’t get me wrong. Real Friends is one of Ye’s best songs in my opinion. But a lot of it is forgettable. Never liked Freestyle 4 or Father Pt 2. Highlights is alright but the original one that leaked is leagues better with the full Kanye verse (even with the occasional mumble reference), FML is good. At least one version of Wolves is good but I don’t know if it was the one that ended up on the final cut anymore. Franks Track is useless and should’ve just stayed with Wolves. 30 hours is great, LA is great, but they don’t sound like they belong on an album with Feedback, or ULB. Whatever concept to the album there was falls to pieces by the second half of the album.

And facts, remix or not, is still s---. And the first version of feedback was a lot better too

Forgot about Saint Pablo. Also a really really great track. The vein that Saint Pablo and Real Friends are in is the one I wish he tapped into more for this album
