    Sound off here about any hot takes you have about music or the music industry in general.

    I’ll start with one that isn’t necessarily a hot take in general but is definitely a hot take on this forum: hip hop is better and more versatile today than it ever has been and older rap is massively overrated.

    Musical movies and TV episodes s---. They. f---ing. s---. Nobody starts randomly singing like that. It's cringe and awful and I don't get why they still are getting made

    I also am not fond musicals but if I have to wade through the bs to get things like the South Park movie, The Nightman Cometh episode of it's always sunny (although that's more stage play) or Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny then it's worth it.

    I'm not talking about episodes where a musical or stage play is the central focus (The Nightman Cometh would be the best, most hilarious example). In this case it makes sense to show the actual musical and have actors sing. I'm talking about these random episodes where they having a random a--- day and they just start singing to bring the story along lmao. And obviously some unhinged s--- like South Park The Movie can make it work as well

    Tv shows etc s--- in general because nowadays it all has to be 'inclusive' and correct. The days of married with children or other fun shows are over.

    If yg was a rapper in the 90s he would be considered the best and most influential rapper oat. He jus born in the wrong era. He better than cube, snoop, eazy and dre combined
