Just an idea I had, everyone can suggest one (or as many as they want) albums that released in 2024 and I will randomize them and throw them in a bracket to see who comes out as the number one album of 2024. All genres are allowed, mainstream and underground is allowed, and albums that came to streaming this year count, such as Travis Scott's "Days Before Rodeo". If anyone else is down for this, let me know and leave some suggestions. If not, we can just let the thread die off lol. Suggestions will be allowed until Dec 31st just so we can get the next month and a half of new music Fridays accounted for and the bracket can begin Jan 1st. New poll on this thread everyday to continue the bracket and determine who moves on!

**NOTE: YOU CAN NAME ANY ALBUM FROM 2024, IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR AOTY OR EVEN AN ALBUM YOU LIKE! THIS IS JUST A WAY TO COLLECT A LARGE RANGE OF ALBUMS TO ALL FACE OFF AGAINST EACH OTHER AND INCLUDE FELLOW POSTERS IN THE BRACKET CREATION PROCESS! Not really, Em has album of the year on lock for me I was rooting for Abel but that was until I heard the new singles

In that case, you can name any album from 2024! I’m just trying to get a solid list and range of albums from 2024 without just doing it myself and missing a hidden gem or obvious album. h---, name albums from this year you think are mid or trash, just trying to build the list

The Weeknd’s album has to come out this year. If it doesn’t that would be crazy. Playboi Carti’s album could come out in December but I’m not betting on it. Kendrick Lamar could still drop an album but to a lot of people that’s starting to seem more like a 2025 drop. I’ve also been hearing some interesting rumblings about Jay Z but who knows. It’s fine though, 2024 was already stacked. There’s been so many good albums, even Future himself dropped 3 of them.

There’s albums like Imaginal Disk by Magdalena Bay that got a lot of buzz but I can’t recommend them for the bracket because I haven’t listened yet

That’s another reason why I was down for people to suggest albums to build the list, there’s a handful of albums I have yet to tap into at all or fully

can you believe I still haven’t listened to Sabrina’s in full yet haha, maybe I do that tomorrow alongside the AOTWClub album, should be a interesting double listen
