Aug 29, 2015 i used to think it was a lot of them, but if i rap along to his s--- enough times in a row i can get it, and i also think his pitch/tone allow him to rap longer without breathing so what songs do you think he punched in on ? and just for fun let's limit it to songs from Recovery and before edit- punching in is where one verse isn't done in one continuous take
Aug 29, 2015 I think he means where he cut the verse, then jumped in and rerecorded a part... or something like that. to answer op, basically every song.
Aug 29, 2015 He used to lay quite a few verses in one take, especially his early stuff. Lose Yourself has been the example he's always used, although I don't believe it. I'm sure they're all punched in now. It's not that hard to cut between recordings unnoticeably if you do it in the middle of lines instead of at the end of every other bar. It's a lot easier to rerecord just 10 seconds until the flow, annunciation, and tone are all perfected. The alternative is doing the entire verse over & over until you're happy. That's like shooting an entire TV show in one take.
Aug 29, 2015 I feel like @Dking002 tried to make a joke about actually using his fists to punch his verses but @JFK and @underground took him seriously
