MF DOOM has gone by several different aliases throughout his career for different solo albums that he has released.

What is your favourite MF DOOM character and what is your favourite album associated with that character?

This is not including his group names for collaborative projects e.g. Madvillain, DANGERDOOM etc.

Personally, I would say MF DOOM is my favourite character. His albums released under that Moniker have collectively been the best for me. Operation: Doomsday is certainly my favourite, but MM...FOOD is undeniably great too.

I dont think theres an actual doom general thread so ill just bump this because its general enough

relistening to some danger doom again and man this album doesnt get enough credit.
holy f--- what a fun album. dooms on point too and the beats sound different from the usual doom stuff before it. the 2005 era adult swim gimmick was fantastic too. DD needs way more love

also @ OP viktor vaughn but tbh i sitll havent dived into all of his characters. tempted to say doom himself but i feel like thats a copout because thats the main guy with the most material. Vaudeville is a classic

DANGERDOOM is so underrated imo it's probably DOOM's most straight forward accessible album and the interludes with adult swim stuff is funny and gives the album a theme too

Yeah i was surprised the first time I heard it that the AS stuff wasn't drawn out lame intrusive skits. Cool that they actually got the real voice actors instead of using clips too. Rly fun album. Feels like an actual AS cartoon or something in music form. songs actually really fit well with the concept too.

i wonder if it was sponsored or funded by AS

Yeah they really went full in on the adult swim stuff, imo makes it a really special album and very unique

Im not sure about the details because I wasn't listed to DOOM at the time but I'm 90% sure he was associated with AS and they helped him make the album and his music was actually used on the AS interludes back in the day

Yea apparently it was fully endorsed by AS. He's done a lot of those AS summer loosies too i think.

i think DD was his first project in a while at the time so maybe it was just a passion project or summin.
