    I agree with the 90s being overrated, but that being said, its still the best decade for Hip Hop. Quality wise, music wise, success wise, impact/influence wise... I hate the ppl who say, that everything other then The Golden Age is weak

    You can say it was the most important since at the turn of the late 90s it became the biggest pop culture phenomenon in the music biz. For the next couple years the genre dominated the charts.

    Quality wise? There was a lot of essential projects that paved the way and still hold up well but calling it overrated is absolutist and lazy.
