Jul 30, 2017 Was listening to some Nas and thought it was kinda weird Eminem and him haven't done a song together. Chances Eminem brings him on for his next album? Or Nas bring Em for his? Both albums seems to be coming this year.
Jul 31, 2017 Nas wanted him on "Daughters", but Em didn't want to talk about Hailie anymore in songs.
Jul 31, 2017 It doesn't interest me. I rather hear Em and Kanye. I think that would be fresh as f---. Some dope Kanye production and mellow Em.
Jul 31, 2017 Yeah but they won't. Also I'm not that interested in this, at this point. Back when Em had an artistic purpose, like, he was reacting to the world, rallying for free speech... Provoking idiots, inventing big stories and just being genius in general; he... felt more like 'something'. More like an artistic engima where you didn't know what he might create next. We still don't, but more-so just from a stylistic standpoint. He kinda just feels like a guy rapping now. Not so much with a purpose. He's amazing at rapping, still, and still pushing in that area - but, I'm not sure what his artistic purpose is anymore. I still look forward to what he comes up with and hopefully he'll surprise me with the next material as he always does, and re-invigorate his purpose... But as of right now, in my head that just feels like 'Nas rapping with Eminem the dude. Em the real guy rapping about his rapping and past rapping', I dunno, something feels more pedestrian about it, probably because of the recent obsession with autobiographical content again and a lack of concepts and vision... But, back then, it felt like EMINEM THE GENIUS ARTIST working with Nas like 'wow wtf will they create'. I'm pretty sure what they'd create now.
Jul 31, 2017 No purpose and no direction...recycling the same old song ...too late to start over thats for sure...Em should be on suicide watch
Jul 31, 2017 Yup. Wont ever happen because of Ether and Nas 'renegade' mention. He shook just incase EM would outshine him, and then he would have to answer questions on it for the rest of his life. lol. Too much pride at stake there.
Jul 31, 2017 There is that reference track from Detox that came out in like 2010. Closest thing we'll ever get of these two rapping together.
Jul 31, 2017 However........... back to the OP.... h--- yes it's f---ing time. f--- that ether line, Nasir needs to swallow the pride and make it happen. EM aint gon turn him down now surely? I been waiting for this collab for 17 f---ing years. s--- needs to happen for the good of rap music.
Jul 31, 2017 they can do a song like The Reunion where they tell a story from 2 prescriptive then tie up the story in the last verse, would be god d--- amazing
Jul 31, 2017 I watched a YouTube video claiming that these two have secretly been in beef for years. It passed 5 minutes.
Aug 4, 2017 Nas isn't afraid of Eminem lol, where did this idea come from? lol First off, Eminem produced Carry the Cross like a year after Nas dropped Ether, so any "issue" that they had (which they didn't) was already buried. It's not fear that halted the collab from happening. Maybe Eminem disappearing from the scene for 5 years because of addiction, or rejecting Nas' offer to be on the Daughters' remix has more to do with it. By the way, I have zero interest in this collab. In 2001, it would've been incredible, but now? Nas would destroy Eminem on a track together. Nas is still elite.
Aug 4, 2017 SO you think it has absolutely zero to do with nas 'em murdered you on your own s---' line on renegade? Oh and why do you think em didn't spit on carry the cross? I know all about this so your just preaching to the choir dude. So Em apparently turned nas down for a track about his daughter after publicly confirming that he was done talking about his daughters and his ex way before. I'm not sure about that. I've heard it before I've never actually seen em or Nas speak on it before so who knows. Maybe you can educate me on that? I mean I could be wrong, but it's all pure speculation at this point. I'm not implying nas is scared' of Eminem lol. Wtf. Chill. don't go catching feeling over Nasir man, it's not that serious. I (half jokingly actually) implied he was shook due to creating his own issue with the ether line, nothing to do with him actually being inferior on a track. I.e If em came correct and people like his verse... Nas regardless would catch some flack for that ether line and would never live it down unless his own verse was something Extraordinary. In no way am I implying that he's shook because of em would blatantly outshine him bar for bar or some s--- like that. That's not that I'm getting at. I am a fan of both so there would be no point in me bashing one or the other artist man. Stop being so desperate to defend Nasir when there's nothing to defend him over. lol.
