    DOOM is more mainstream-underground though. Considering he doesn't have a real label backing him, he really is one of the most successful rappers OAT

    Tbh underground rap now days is crap - mostly dudes stuck in the old days and arnt doing anything creative - just s--- that's been done so many times before.

    Best time for underground stuff was early 2000s with groups like Binary Star, Atmosphere and Cunninglinguistics

    milo, billy woods, & open mike eagle are cool. there's also the jean grae album with her husband, I thought it was one of the best albums this year
