I feel like GOOD AM came and went (good album) and obviously we're not always discussing him around here, but what do you guys think of Mac Miller?

I love him. WMWTSO and Faces especially sold me on him and he's grown into one of my favorite rappers.

He was a tad bit too corny and mostly hit or miss in his Best Day Ever and Blue Slide Park days, but after WMWTSO, Faces, and GOOD AM; he's seen an enormous jump in quality and has shown incredible progression as an artist.

I don't mind him from what I've heard of him. I don't really go out of my way to listen to him or follow him. GO:OD AM didn't do much for me either tbh.

    movies was good
    faces great
delusional thomas very underrated second best work after faces
beat tapes etc p good and his tape with vince really good
good am honestly s----d to me it was like a super lateral move which i thought was weird cus he would always talk about what a statement he was going to make with it and it was just like a super safe sounding mainstream hip hop album like a grown up version of his olf self so yea

horrible as it sounds hes just one of those dudes that mkes better music when they're miserable and on drugs he seems like a nice enough guy so i hope hes happy and clean but i dont think i can be his fan as long as he is lmao

Good AM s----d. WMWTSO, KIDS and Faces are great though. He will never get the respect he deserves, he's lowkey one of the most improved rappers of this generation.

Macadelic needs to be mentioned tbh. Some great songs on it. WMWTSO is one of those albums that gives you a unique vibe, great album

Chad daddy Warden ...... I usually agree with you on every thing but I can't agree with you saying Good AM s----d. That was one of the most well rounded albums of last year. But yes the way he has evolved since being the corny kinda poppy high school rapper is increadible. he has turned into a true lyricist with some really great bars! I also love how abstract and weird he can get on some of his s---.
He is definately one of the more funnier rappers in the game right now too. I always seem to laugh at something he says in a verse

Blue Slide Park is by far his worst project. It's the only one I really despise.
KIDS and BDE came out when I was in high school so I f----- with those tapes hard back then but now once I relisten I don't vibe to them much.
Macadelic was a solid project as well but this is when you could tell the dude was starting to get on drugs pretty hard.
Watching Movies was really unique and very expirmental. I liked some of it and some of it I didn't
Faces was increadible! His best project in my opinion. Even though you hate seeing someone as depressed and f----- up as he was, it turned out to be a great source for creativity and inspiration. I only wish Insomniak got more love cause to this day that s--- still bumps in the whip all the time!
Good A:M this is my 2nd favorite outing from him. This album truly shows how much he has grown as a artist.

This list is in no particular order but I did leave out a few of his minor projects. I'm excited to see what he has in store next for us! He is one of my favorite artist!

I liked WMWTSO. Didn't really give GOOD AM a shot. I listened to it a couple of times. Don't remember much. His style relies on semi-random multi-syllables and that's a dime a dozen when it comes to white rappers. He's kind of funny so that's nice. Plus his recent artistic turn brought his music a new level of production and vision that his more frat rap stuff was missing. Hard for me to come back to his music often. It's kind of novel.

I find his lyrical content to be driftless and lacking of a more concise approach. There's too much filler and nonsensical rubble in his writing, and that's what really stops him from getting past the "budget Earl Sweatshirt" distinction.

With that being said, he's an extremely talented producer, and he surely does have a few great tracks. Faces is leaps and bounds his best project.

His music is inoffensive I guess.

he's not very good. his progression as an artist is interesting as he went from pothead fratboy to experimental drug addict, which is when his music improved/changed quite a bit. My problem with him was always going to be his voice, it makes it hard for me to take him seriously. but i will say that he developed into a pretty good writer with Faces and especially WMWTSO. He's a great producer.
