Mar 9, 2017 I feel bad for people that sell games to them when we have things like Craiglist, Backpages and apps like Offer Up where you can sell things to local people near you for actual reasonable prices
Mar 11, 2017 safety is the biggest reason someone might not sell to a stranger, that and fast cash if you're strapped. Most cases, its easier just to see what their website says they will give you, then base off that with how much you will get from a regular joe and see if it's much different. i just sold madden for 26 to gamestop where as say ebay, i have seller fees and shipping in most cases to pay for and that say 30, becomes 25 or less quick.
Mar 11, 2017 Even game studios dont f--- with gamestop because used game sales dont go back to them, GameStop keeps the money. Wtf happened to EB Games?
Mar 11, 2017 haven't supported them in years, they treat their customers like they're r-----s and their employees like slaves
Mar 11, 2017 "Hi welcome to GameStop Assassin's Creed 5 is about to release I could set up a pre-order for you?" n----- I just walked in can I breathe for a second. And the employees are soooo f---ing awkward like they don't know what sunlight is. No I don't have Kingdom Hearts 2 soundtrack on my phone playlist stop asking me
Mar 11, 2017 Safety? Really bro lol I mean if I was a kid I guess that would be a concern... you can tell if someone is being shady right off the bat tho and unless you plan on meeting in a dark alley I don't see how anything could go wrong. Apps like Offer Up make you sign up and connect your Facebook so if you get robbed you have all their information right there available so you can perform a drive by on their home the next day. I don't know why people act like those sites aren't safe... if you get robbed because of Craigslist you're an idiot >_>
Mar 11, 2017 Yes safety is a reason. you understand how to avoid situations that may seem shady or not right, but do you think you're speaking for everyone that does, especially older people say late 40's, 50's.
Mar 11, 2017 People that are old have yard sales because the internet doesn't exist in their world so I'd say no matter what age you are there's a way to sell your s--- safely
Mar 12, 2017 Gamestop are just scared that digital sales are going to overtake their business, its why they've been banking so much on merchendise lately, they know they'll die out in 10 more years, all they have is merch and used games left
Mar 12, 2017 I stopped using EB Games/Gamestop back in High School. I went to buy a "new" copy of NBA Street. When I got home and opened up the game the manual was super wrinkled and the disc had fingerprints on it. Though the game was 'NEW" according to their price tag on it. Felt that was a bit shady to be reselling used games as new. I do have to admit though I haven't stayed true to that. Since that one time I have bought a game from them, it was NBA 2K17 this past Black Friday. Wal Mart and Bestbuy both didn't have it so a EB Games was close by I cringed to buy it but got one. Luckily it was new lol.
Mar 12, 2017 lol not all older people have yard sales to sell stuff, some do you understand the internet but just not all the safety measures with it when selling something. And again, yes their are ways to sell or buy stuff safely but say you go on craigslist to buy or sell your car, you're going to have assume the other party is safe to sell to.
