Jun 2, 2021 Crazy rant. This lady is obviously deeply disturbed. I mean, I'm no fan of cops, but did the man really deserve to be subjected to this level of personal abuse? He was just doing his job, not trying to murder anyone. If the crazy lady was just really pissed at police then something like "thanks [for the citation] a------" or "f--- your mother" in a calm voice would have sufficed IMHO. There's gotta be more to unpack here, but that's where words fail me. So I'll defer to the self-styled experts on this sort of issue. Thoughts @reservoirGod @Enigma etc?

Jun 2, 2021 I'm not sure what question you're asking or what discussion you're looking for here tbh. That lady is clearly disturbed/racist and that cop didn't do anything specifically wrong that I can see from the video (though I'm wondering if there's any more bodycam footage from earlier in this situation that gives more context)...but cops have murdered people for a lot less than what that lady said. The problem is less about individual cops and more about the system itself. But imo we shouldn't be commending cops for "not escalating a situation" cuz that's, like, the minimum requirement for being a cop lol.

And Robin DiAngelo was absolutely right: If race is an issue you actually care about, then act like it. Get more serious about tackling it. Otherwise, shut the f--- up. Stop virtue signaling. Calling others crazy or bigoted for being more emotionally invested in race than you are is not helpful. If anyone needs to stay in their lane, it's you.
