So Wonder Woman 1984 is finally coming out soon and reviews are coming out for it and they are great. It’s currently at a 89% on RT. Are you excited for this? I am. I love me some Wonder Woman & Gal Gadot.

    Here’s IGNs review!

One of the few good DCEU films was WW1. Definitely looking forward to this. I was hoping to see it at the IMAX this year then 2020 went Full Frank Intervention Episode and the rest is history.

For the record the first one was probably the best DC movie since the Dark Knight Rises, so it def had set the bar for her future movies

A lot of times, a great comic book movie is only as great as the villain(s). I think too much focus was spent on Maxwell Lord being the villain when it should have been Cheetah. They messed up that character and choosing Kristen Wiig for that role reminded me of when Topher Grace was chosen for Venom. Not that they can’t act, but it’s just that these aren’t the right roles for them. The other thing is, it was sold as an 80’s nostalgia film, but outside of the cheesy beginning, it didn’t really feel like it was set in the 80’s. The easy way to show the 80’s is to follow the Stranger Things formula and just do references but for a movie like this, they needed to spend more time setting the tone and atmosphere. They just used that cheesy intro in the mall to proclaim “Look it’s 80’s s---!” I think way too much time was spent doing Gal Gadot glamour shots. She needed to get down in the dirt. Definitely disappointing especially after a dope first film.

Also, how did Max have an Asian kid? I know he probably smashed an Asian woman, but I don’t think they ever showed her, just mentioned her? You can’t just spring an Asian son on a Latino like that. Make it make sense on screen.

Voted no but doesn't mean I can't be pursuaded. I've only recently got into the MCU and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Where do I start with DC?

I was looking forward to this and it had some redeemable moments but overall this was an awful experience.
Plot holes, script driving the plot (instead of the inverse), and overall incoherence ruins the good character development for Diana.
    Yet another DC flop.

Bad wording on my part maybe, but it seems like instead of having a concrete story and writing a script for it, at times they were writing an aimless script and then pivoting to a plot in the middle. Like half of the movies runtime consists of entire sequences that are unrelated to the plot and could have been cut out.
