This year has to be one of the worst ever, specially for rap. Wonder if it will get better berfore the year ends, but the year is almost over.

Idk if I'd call it the worst confidently but I think the 2010s EDM'ification of pop is pretty awful, s--- like The Chainsmokers making awful music that gets billions of views.

Good one. That “let me take a selfie” song was so stupid and has already aged terribly

The current one . At first I thought maybe I was just out growing rap . But it seems like hip hop hit a ceiling and people quit pushing the envelope . There’s not enough game changing albums

I'd much rather listen to the EDM pop of that time than the pop of today. Also happier times

I think a lot of mainstream pop is pretty stagnant in general yeah.
I have a huge bias towards 80s music but I could see why some people would hate it.

The late 90s spat of dudes making extremely corny and immediately outdated references was pretty funny, it wraps back around to being kinda charming lmao

I find that the EDM pop of the late 00's/early 10's is at least more upbeat and catchy than the pop of today

Grown men making the worst pop punk now might be the worst actually cause it's the most psychology damaging to me specifically.

    I’m looking at you MGK…

This reaction was basically my reaction listening to MGK’s newest album

Don’t get me wrong there were definitely some gems, more like it was a time when they were learning how transition instruments into technology.

Obviously it's all subjective but I've gotten a handful of albums that I really really love, I think it's a bit hyperbolic to act like it's been that bad but I guess it depends what you're looking for.
