Dec 21, 2014 Cosign everything in this thread aside from The Walking Dead. Also Archer Luther Sherlock The Leftovers
Dec 21, 2014 Archer The Flash Game of Thrones Mad Men The Blacklist (Haven't watched it but heard it's amazing so I'll toss it as my wild card) EDIT: Walking Dead is good to. But has kind of lost it's unpredictability. That's expected obviously as the cast dies off, but whenever one of the main cast members are in trouble you know they'll get out of it. Unlike the first 2 seasons when there were a few random holy s--- moments.
Dec 21, 2014 True Detective and Fargo both follow the anthology format, therefore each season features a different story and set if characters. Those are worth getting into due to not ever needing to "catch up" by watching previous seasons. Here's two suggestions you probably won't get from others, and both are vastly different but can be equally entertaining. Vikings is a pretty cool show that has it's third season premiering in March. The first two seasons have a combined total of 19 episodes, so it isn't a huge commitment to catch up on. Great production values (especially the second season. The battle scenes>>>) and story. It tells the story of the Viking-legend, Ragnar Lodbrok. The writing is very consistent throughout (it's credited solely to Michael Hirst) and the directorial duties are split between 3-4 directors, which also gives it a pretty consistent feel. Arrow is a sort-of-dumb CW show, great to watch if you're a superhero fan and want to waste an hour. It's on it's 3rd season now. 20+ episodes per season, so there's a lot more room for error, but the production budget seems to be alright. They stay more grounded with their villains and tend to steer away from superpowers, meaning an infrequent amount of bad television CGI, and most of the stunts are done practically. The fight scenes are great.
Dec 21, 2014 Patiently waiting for Better Call Saul. New Girl and Parks & Recreation are my favorite current comedies. New Girl is unbelievably underrated.
Dec 21, 2014 these all need to mentioned as well... Mad Men Hannibal The Leftovers Fargo True Detective
