Mar 5, 2018 The problem with it is that he cant 'built' on it. I mean the verse is really great to me, but it was a response to people talking s--- about Revival and Walk on Water. That's always been the case with him, give him a reason to make a great song and he will. People called this a step in the right direction but honestly it was just a one time highlight that won't continue on his next project. Why, because what is he gonna do? A whole album aimed at his haters? Who wants that? He will continue to combine everything he has done before because its obvious fans don't know what they want from him despite hundreds of threads saying they do. Some want serial killer stuff, others want pop s---, others want rappity rap... he makes that clear on Walk On Water (also why I think that song is really good and the negative responses are strange to me). People loved Believe, but how can he use that to make more songs like that? Then there are new fans that like his pop music, which he also wants to please. Conclusion, he keeps trying to make what 'the fans want' while there is no such thing.
Mar 5, 2018 nobody wants pop s---. Believe is such a terrible song. He on his way out it suprised me when no big rappers supported the album. Kendrick even tweeted out xxxtentxions and jaden smiths albums but not revival. One great verse doesn't make up for a terrible album

I don't see any stans asking for that at all even tho it sells well, just because it has radio play doesn't mean the fans want it, if the soccer moms do then so be it I guess maybe thats who he's targeting

Teenage girls and soccer moms that praise LTWYL are also Eminem fans that listen to his stuff Actual stans that sit in their moms basement will like whatever he does so that's never a problem lmao
Mar 5, 2018 I think if he just did what he want everyone would like it a lot more, I'm not saying he has to go full till I collapse every track but more songs like castle, castle seems like the only genuine song on revival. Either way this doesn't make up for a terrible album imo but its a good verse

LTWYL River and Monster have a very cliche rapper x pop structure and the content on two is very generic as s---. He could of easily made the Beyonce song cliche af but chose not too. Tragic endings that pink song that other s--- song also follow that geneic forumula Not afraid was an anthem and Marshall’s last ever real solo hit.
Mar 5, 2018 It's getting so old hearing all this Revival hate on this forum. The album is a classic. It's nearly flawless with songs like remind me, believe, like home, heat, etc. y'all are just hating on it because it's "cool" and everyone else is. Stand up for what you believe in.
