Jun 13, 2018 Drake has been revealed as a lyricist and composer on Kanye West’s ye song “Yikes.” Hot 97 host Peter Rosenberg previously claimed that Drake penned the song’s hook on the air. Now, that information has been confirmed by updated credits found on Tidal. There are 11 credited lyricists in total, including Mike Dean, Ayub Ogada, and James Mbarack Achieng. (“Yikes” samples the 1976 Black Savage song “Kothbiro.”) Kanye was previously credited on Drake’s 2016 diss track “Two Birds, One Stone.” The song took aim at Kid Cudi and Pusha-T. The latter finally responded to Drake on “Infrared,” the closing track on his recent Daytona album. Drake took aim at both Pusha and Kanye on his response, “Duppy Freestyle.
