Dec 24, 2017 For a rapper who's been at this for 20 years to still be able to amaze us with Believe, Castle and Arose, in the least, is an incredible achievement. Think about it. 20 years later he can still send shivers down our spines and grab our attention, make us feel what he feels. Even if those 3 songs are all that works (and theres certainly more), it's more than enough. We are spoiled. We cannot accept his album at face value, always comparing it to the past. I'm telling you, for an artist so long in the game to make Believe and a brilliant combination of Castle and Arose, there's nothing more a human should do to get some credit he deserves.
Dec 24, 2017 you are all stupid for comparing it to his older works. Am I the only person who doesn't compare an artists newer work to his older? Seriously, why people do that?Just enjoy the music ffs
Dec 24, 2017 But it's embedded in my head I never hunted for the bread and butter What I wanted was to be the one that they was scared of but I'm never gonna get the credit for the sweat and blood I put up in the pen, and when I'm dead I wonder Will they put me on a pedestal Or forget I was ever this incredible I guess I better go harder than ever 'cause I'll never get another mothafuckin' opportunity again To offend as many people with this I can, simply because I can This is very true. He is a victim of his own success. In this day and age you can't be a megastar rapper and have as much love as Em did back in the day. He did because his hate wasn't broadcast on the stupid internet. He still had hate but much more love. Every kid loved him. The rock, pop lovers, etc. It was an amazing time. I feel sorry for the children who won't experience what it is like growing up listening to Em in his prime.
Dec 24, 2017 20 years? He's been rapping for at least 30 years, h--- infinite was already out 20 years ago.
Dec 24, 2017 Your standards are awfully low if you’re grateful cuz “we’ll, I mean, we got 3 good songs out of a 19 song tracklist”. And this silly mindset you guys have adopted, this “well I mean, Eminem doesn’t OWE us anything” really needs to end. Of course he doesnt owe us anything. What does that have to do with anything? We also don’t owe him blind-loyalty, even in the face of bad album after bad album.
Dec 24, 2017 Who the f--- cares about Soul Intent or whatever he was rapping in high school? Can't count that as material we all know and love from him. I'm saying it's incredible he still gives us anything of value. 20 years is a long time.
Dec 24, 2017 I never realized that these lines are amazing. Just sucks he chooses to go so fast. Imagine saying this in an angry, focused verse. Except he decides to go faster than rap god so no one can understand it
Dec 24, 2017 “No matter how many battles I been in and won No matter how many magazines on my nuts No matter how many emcees I eat up Oh, it's never enough No matter how many battles I been in and won No matter how many magazines on my nuts No matter how many emcees I eat up Oh oh, it's never enough”
Dec 24, 2017 “Maybe it’s beautiful music I made for you to just cherish but i am debated disputed...”
Dec 24, 2017 > Revival will be dope finally Eminem will be back to form > Album was trash Em doesn't owe us s---!
Dec 24, 2017 Too bad you posted this on S80 barely anyone will agree or give it any attention since it’s true
Dec 25, 2017 3 tracks outta a 19-song album isn’t something “of value”. It’s a poor effort. A swing and a miss
