Feb 14, 2018 Would Revival be a good to great album? Listening to ShadyXV songs that come on shuffle always makes me think abouy how underrated some of them are. Im still coming to grips with the fact that Revival was trash but thinking about the quality of the cuts on ShadyXV and even the Southpaw soundtrack not only convinces me that a great album is still in Eminem but that Revival would've been great if he constructed it better. Which makes me want to have a go at it 1. Walk on Water 2. Believe 3. Castle 4. Chloraseptic 1st verse with 2 Chainz and Phresher 5. Untouchable 6. Psychopath Killer ft Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse 7. Framed 8. Right For Me 9. Offended 10. Revival interlude 11. Twisted ft Yelawolf 12. Bad Husband 13. Like Home 14. Nowhere Fast 15. Guts Over Fear 16. Fine Line 17. In Your Head 18. Arose Bonus tracks All I Think About Heat River Campaign Speech This isn't a classic album by any means but if he actually sat down and sequenced this album how he wanted to and not trying to make every "type" of song, Revival could've been the album he thought it would be. A worthy sequel to Relapse and Recovery that meshes both themes together while making a bettet album than both. Oh well TL/DR: Marshall has another solid to classic album in him watch. He raps better when the odds are stacked and he'll be back
Feb 14, 2018 Right for Me is vintage slim b---- It works better conceptually. Having Castle being one of the first songs not only sets the stage for a more surpising ending but also speaks to the Stan reference on Walk on Water in trying to prove his storytelling prowess hasn't gone away
Feb 14, 2018 Well for a start you f----- up by not putting Vegas on there which is my fav verse from Shady XV
Feb 14, 2018 Shady XV Southpaw Revival (Revised Revival LP tracklist) 1) Walk on Water 2) Believe ( Lead Single) 3) All I Think About 4) Right For Me 5) Choloraseptic (Single) 6) Guts Over Fear 7) Framed 8) Psychopath Killer 9) Castle 10) Phenomenal (Single) 11) In Your Head 13) Kings Never Die 14) Like Home (Single) 15) Detroit vs Everybody 16) Die Alone 17) Arose
Feb 14, 2018 The reason I didn't put songs like phenomenal and kings never die was because they were directly related to southpaw and wouldn't fit on any other project. Its not cohesive but f--- it neither is Revival
Feb 14, 2018 Believe and Phenomenal are very similar and Kings Never Die and In Your Head are similar
Feb 15, 2018 Phenomenal and Kings Never Die were specifically written for the juxtaposition of Billy Hope and Eminem. The fact that they are similar to other songs doesnt make it fit in a context outside of Southpaw
Feb 15, 2018 Kings Never Die and Phenomenal are not really related to Southpaw. They're just motivational track. Kings Never Die is litterally Rap God 2
Feb 15, 2018 You notice Em boxing in River music video? Em is symbolically Billy in real life... he fits the persona time and time again as a " fighter, heart's a lighter / soul is the fluid, flow sparks it right up / An arsenic writer," so I can see the subject matter used outside of Southpaw...but I get what your saying bro Well maybe not Rap God 2 but ya I agree that those songs can be used out of context of Southpaw storyline
Feb 15, 2018 Kings Never Die and In Your Head aren't similar. Last time I checked Kings Never Die isn't about regretting mentioning Hailie so much.
