Horrifying what is happening right now. Israel & Hamas both recklessly/carelessly launching missiles at each other leading to rising civilian death toll. Israel especially needs to do better knowing the power difference here. State of the art military capabilities yet dozens of civilian casualties? How?

Horrible. Israel should have never been formed and I know this sounds extreme but they are the cause for a lot of harm in the Middle East.

It's not extreme, because I know you can differentiate between "Israel" and "all of the Jewish people in the world." For whatever reason (I'll give you a hint, it's antisemitism) people equate the two things and think that Israel speaks for every person in the Jewish diaspora. There's tons of Jewish people around the world who speak out against Israel's genocide. The fact of the matter is that no one deserves to be displaced from their homeland—I think Jewish people deserve a homeland too but not at the expense of another culture. We f----- up big time with this one.

@Antman was sending me videos of New Yorkers shi--ing on Andrew Yang in public for his tweets about this lol

Bare minimum, it should have never been formed in the manner that it was. Without consultation/feedback from the existing Palestinian people who already lived there.

That being said, I feel like people get so caught up in the history of the conflict & trying to right the wrongs of the past when it’s just unfeasible at this point. Israel exists. It’s not going anywhere. Goal has to be what can we do now to mediate an agreement so both sides can peacefully coexist.

The US government supports the genocidal regime by the sum of $3.8 Billion Dollars annually.

You just always seem to be very accepting on actions by the US government yet appear to condemn it too. Makes as much sense as the Q nutjobs doing the same thing when Trump was the foreman.

Such as? I don’t know what you mean. Politics often involves nuanced issues which require nuanced solutions. I try to stray away from over simplistic takes.

I'm not going to go through your posts pointing it out but I've seen it often before & just then from what I quoted.

That being said, I feel like people get so caught up in the history of the conflict & trying to right the wrongs of the past when it’s just unfeasible at this point. Israel exists. It’s not going anywhere. Goal has to be what can we do now to mediate an agreement so both sides can peacefully coexist.

You appear to approach these situations as if you're a politician yourself, narrowly avoiding any substance of critique especially if the United States has their finger in the pie -- I'm not sure if you're naive about their ability to commit & support atrocities directly/systematically or just a Liberal lol.

Isreal stopped the allowment of "peacefully co-existing" when they settled on land that wasn't theres. They are Zionists, anything argued around this is simply apologist conjecture. The Isreal state should cease to exist & be tried for crimes against humanity, no less.

Im not going to sit here & attempt to defend the entirety of the United State’s foreign policy history lol. I think a majority of liberals wouldn’t. The mistakes & atrocities the United States has been involved in are abundant from the bay of pigs to Vietnam to Iraq & Afghanistan etc. Just because I’m not vocal about it (?) doesn’t mean I’m unaware lol. Idk…no one ever really disputes the the U.S.’s problematic foreign policy so it just seems like beating a dead horse.

This is not just a war over stolen land
Why do you think little boys are throwing stones at tanks?
We will never really know how many people are dead
They drop bombs on innocent girls while they sleep in their beds
Don't get offended by facts, just try and listen
Nothing is more anti-Semitic than Zionism
So please don't bring bad vibes when you speak to me
There's plenty of Rabbi's that agree with me
It's your choice what you do with this message
Don't get it confused; I view this from a truly human perspective
How many more resolutions have to be violated
How many more children have to be annihilated
Israel is a terror state, they're terrorists that terrorise
I testify, my television televised them telling lies
This is not a war, it is systematic genocide
But whatever they try, Palestine will never die

Lowkey got banned from the City of London, was detained & interrogated two times by Israeli officials upon arrival at Ben Gurion Intl Airport in Israel & had his home invaded for this song & his activism -- also banned from MTV & essentailly blackballed from the industry for critiquing American foreign policy but freedom, right?

It sounds like you’re arguing for a two state solution, which is the non-answer, status quo promoting, pro-israel take that every western country has. It is an apartheid state that has wiped out Palestinians for 70 years, there is no two state solution with Israel existing.

It’s the only feasible long term solution. You can sit here & argue morally & ethically why Israel shouldn’t exist & you can put together a very convincing argument to back that up but it’s just not happening. It’s pointless to even entertain that. It would be like arguing for restoration of Native American lands. Yeah, there’s a moral/ethical argument to be made there but it’s just not happening. Nonstarter.

Anybody on either side that’s refusing to come to some sort of middle ground is just prolonging the fighting, misery, death & destruction. This conflict has been at a stalemate for a majority of the past century. Neither groups of people are going anywhere so figuring out some form of peaceful coexistence is the only plausible way forward.
