Sep 6, 2018 When the demons do emerge, the songs aren’t memorable enough to overcome the latest tinges of homophobia and misogyny from a 45-year-old who either knows better or is outrage-trolling for the attention he doesn’t need. Instead of trying to evolve with the culture, he’d rather Make Rap Great Again. https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/eminem-kamikaze/
Sep 6, 2018 Instead of trying to evolve with the culture, he’d rather Make Rap Great Again. How is this a bad thing though
Sep 6, 2018 This site has fantastic writers but lost all credibility when it comes to Eminem reviews when they scored MMLP2 and Revival as nearly 2x better than Recovery. If you think Revival and Kamikaze deserve the same score (both received a 5/10), you can check your rap critic credentials at the door. I’ll also note that they scored this year’s absolute train-wreck of a Nas album higher than Kamikaze.
Sep 6, 2018 Miss me with these gay reviews. Do it like Koolo said and use your ears. That's a bar btw.
Sep 6, 2018 I don't think they ever gave him a decent review, so not surprised. He can't expect critics to praise him though when he literally dissed crtiics throughout the entire album....
Sep 6, 2018 I think the score is on point. They rated Revival the same, which was way too high though. This deserves recognition for being better than Revival at least.
Sep 6, 2018 Why do people keep saying homophobia on this album? He says fa---- once and he bleeps it out, and Tyler DID say that about himself, wtf....
Sep 6, 2018 I thought the review would be terrible, considering the unimaginative, clearly bitter writing on the 'fall' review with quotes like 'a project of hyper-aggressive rappity-rap and juvenile fart puns, the musical equivalent of a Monster Energy drink.' but that was a pretty good review
