RATE THIS ALBUM II - Lil Pump - Lil Pump

    The forum has been lacking in good discussion lately, so I'ma try bringing this topic back. Old topic here.

    The basic gist of it is that I (or someone else) will choose an album, and then you post a short blurb (even just 1-2 sentences) as to why you like or dislike the album along with a rating out of ten. After a couple days, I'll tally up the ratings and post the average score. I will not count your vote if you don't write a blurb, and if your blurb is lazy as f--- and doesn't even have any sort of real reasoning behind it I won't count it either.

    Example of something that won't be counted:
    "8/10, I listen to this album a lot"

    "0/10 trash album"

    Example of something that's short, but will be counted because it has some sort of reasoning behind it:
    "8/10, this is one of my favorite albums but the last two songs on it are really weak which prevent it from from quite breaking into the 'classic' category for me."

    I'm not asking for a novel (but feel free to write as much as you want), but I want the blurbs to garner some actual discussion and not just be a boring thread of people posting ratings.

    Rules:
    1. Bold your rating so it's easier for me to see.
    2. Don't rate an album if you haven't listened to it.
    3. I won't count your rating if you don't write a blurb or your blurb doesn't have any actual reasoning in it.
    4. If you have any ideas, please nominate an album you want to see rated by sectioneighty.

    Has one of my favorite Kanye songs with New God Flow, which also has 2 great Pusha verses. With Clique, Mercy and Don't like it also have a few bangers. Lots of diversity, artists getting their shine, but overall not an album I listen to in full a lot. Just a few songs I really like and do check out on occasion. 7/10

    i think the album has some serious godly potential and a couple of gems but it felt like kanyes greatness and his friends was scattered all over the place and i can imagine how fire the studio sessions were when they were making this but s----s just too messy!

    This isn’t really an album I listen to in full. I mainly stick with the more known tracks like Mercy, New God Flow, etc. I like the fact that lesser known GOOD Music artists got to shine. Don’t Like is probably my favorite track. 6/10

    Would like to add that the beat change in 'Mercy' when Kanye's verse comes up is really awesome

    Haven’t listened to this thing in years, but rechecking the tracklist I have to give it at least an 8/10. The highs on this album are sensational (Clique, The Morning, Mercy, New God Flow, Cold, Don’t Like Remix :banderas:, Creepers)

    The tracks I’d consider lows (everything not listed above), on here are pretty meh, but still better than a lot of other albums’ fillers.

    It’s one of those albums that I could listen to front-to-back at probably any point in my life and enjoy it.

    Album has some weak songs and the hooks on this thing are sometimes the weakest part for example the opener. It can go from really good like Sin City to extremely boring like The One and The Morning
    The singles like God Flow, Mercy (personal favourite) and Cold were definitely the highlights along with couple others. Overall i dont consider it a kanye album nor i put it on a place whenever im ranking his discography but good compilation 7/10

    To me, this is Kanye's only true misfire. 8/12 of the songs range from good to absolute classics, but the other four are pretty bad. As a label album, there are some clear omissions like Q-Tip not being present while features from other artists take over (2 Chainz, Mase, R Kelly, and Rae are great on here but it makes it feel less like a true GOOD album). I love the first 7 songs (Kanye is notably pretty absent after that), but then it falls apart completely until I Dont't Like which feels kinda tacked on. The album was clearly rushed, being released just days before the last day of Summer. If the first half is any indication, this could have been an absolute classic. Like TLOP, it's a rush job, but unlike TLOP, which boasts a sort of manic charm to it that encapsulates Kanye's emotional strain at the time, the result is a subpar album. The good songs are good enough to make it worth listening to, however.

    Kanye also set the bar very very high with both MBDTF and WTT before releasing this. Also a reason it kinda let me down at first. Sure, its not a Kanye album but that didn't help imo.

    I enjoyed this quite a lot from what I can remember, but I tended to play only a handful of the tracks after the first couple listens. Too many of them weren't very memorable. None of them particularly bad to me, like they didn't stick out as bad, just... not worth revisiting.

    Probably a 5/10 if I had to actually give it a rating

    Don’t Like aside, the B side of the album is almost entirely worthless, but the first half is full of gems. Going with a 7/10.

    agreed with most of whats been said already. cut it down to around 8 songs and you've got a perfect label compilation, kinda building on the MBDTF/WTT sound. maybe a 7/10 on the strength of the first half alone. Plus hearing Rae and Ghost over yeezy beats >>

    average album 6/10 didnt enjoy it all ,there is some dope tracks,expected more from this album
