Feb 15, 2018 He posted numerous pictures of celebrity couples on instagram probably because of valentine's day
Feb 15, 2018 you think one is coming? I hope so, but I'm skeptical. Also, just throwing this out there, "Pablo is extremely underappreciated" is a hill I'm willing to die on
Feb 15, 2018 i dunno man, i like the idea of pablo, but when i actually put it on, i end up getting really frustrated. i like "real friends" and "no more parties in l.a." a whole lot, but lots of the album just feels sorta clunky and robotic and unfinished to me. i've gone through ebbs and flows in how much i like it, maybe i'm just down on it lately. and yeah, i'm pretty confident he'll drop this summer.
Feb 15, 2018 I don’t think your instincts are wrong - Pablo is definitely flawed, and it does next to nothing to paper over those flaws. Why is it so long? Why is Kanye barely a cameo on some of his own songs? When is he going to fix Wolves? But something about that messiness lends it a character that’s very unique and appealing. People have been pulling the “it’s intentionally messy!” card with accompanying White Album comparison since....before The White Album was even recorded, I think. But it really fits here. Kanye pushes the “conflicted husband” neurosis to a bursting point on FML and he’s as sad and earnest as he’s ever been on Real Friends. He’s somber and introspective on Saint Pablo and he’s goofy as s--- on Highlights. Fade is a party jam and Freestyle 4 is a horror movie freak show. He’s spiritual on Ultralight Beam and he’s crass on Famous. His work has always poked at his contradictions, but it’s never been the driving force quite like it is here. The result isn’t an album that could ever be his best, or even close. But in a lot of ways I think it’s his most fascinating. plus, a lot of it is just FUN, in a way he really hasn’t been since Watch the Throne. I miss the fun Kanye. Anyway, having said all that, no need for another album as freewheeling and crazy as Pablo, at least not this time around. I hope his next one is crafted with some semblance of discipline. I don’t want to be listening to the record while he’s still finishing it. And I hope it’s closer in scope and concision to Yeezus
