Jan 13, 2020 I think calling it "the most overhyped movie since Roma" is unfair to both it and Roma, but I do think Americans are a lil goofy on it –– it's a cool/tightly made summer thriller with great shotmaking and good performances, people think it's some transcendent art film bc it has subtitles. Jan 13, 2020 A lot I haven't seen but my favs from what I have were: Irishman Parasite The Lighthouse Uncut Gems Midsommar I liked Knives Out and Once Upon a Time but not as much most people seem to. Knives Out was fun but the "liberal snowflake! alt right troll!" type dialogue was so forced and cringe to me.
