Feb 5, 2015 BESIDES NEW SLAVES/BOTL/HML I'm listening to Yeezus front to back (is there any other way to do it?) for the first time on my new Beats headphones Even better than it was in the past if you can believe it s----s just so engrossing right from the start. I can't belive people actually hated on On Site...I was already fully reminded about of how much of a classic this release is by the time on site finished. That choir sample, the outro, just the energy in general >>> Then black skin head right after keeps the project bangin' I am a god is a brief interlude that's really not that offensive at all (great vibe), and by the time that New Slaves intro turns up -- you're already strapped in for the ride. NS --> HML --> I'm In It --> Blood on the Leaves --> Guilt Trip that new slaves outro Chief keef and Justin Vernon f--- them other n----s cause I'm down for my n----s Star wars fur yeah I'm to ckin chewbaccaaaa My favorite aside from the obvious three is probably Guilt Trip. It's been in my top five since the album came out
Feb 5, 2015 Besides top 3... It's gotta be either black skinhead, or on sight, Though i think guilt trip is my fav track that is often 'overlooked' the strings near the end of the song are amazing, and i think it's one of the most 'creative' tracks there.... EDIT: plus i love all the star wars references...
Feb 5, 2015 Guilt Trip and Black Skinhead complete my top five, I like GT more. Where has this Cudi been?
Feb 5, 2015 On the moon But yeah his feature is so brief but just perfect for the track I think I rate im in it and send it up both above black skin head
Feb 5, 2015 I think that Send It Up is indeed better, and I'm In It has many interesting things going on, like Vernon's vocals during the chorus and around the 3' for example, but most of the time I prefer the agression that BS brings. The "romans" bar makes me cringe though, it sounds kinda forced to me because literally everybody knows that it's spartans and not romans, even Kanye's ignorant a--- knows this lol but hey, it doesn't really matter because he goes really hard in this one. Bound 2 is probably my least favourite song here. It's a good way to end the album in a brighter note, and I like the lyrics (how you gon' be mad on vacation, admitting is the first step etc) but the uh-huh honey kinda gets on my nerves for some reason, it gets repeated more often than I'd like to but yeah, these 2 are my only complaints about this record. Pretty good if you ask me!
Feb 5, 2015 I'm in it is my favourite track beside those three masterpieces. Staaar Fuuucker! I wish Justin Vernon did a whole song in this style... with kanye guest verse ofc. It would be mindblowing.
Feb 5, 2015 I think I'd have to go with Guilt Trip. Besides those top three, I think it is tough to isolate and rank single songs because the album works so much better as a cohesive piece than a collection of songs
Feb 5, 2015 well, you see, it sounds really good. i think, um, that makes it a good song or something not sure tho
Feb 5, 2015 There's no standout moment in this track just like in other songs on Yeezus. I actually understand people who don't like it as much as others.
Feb 5, 2015 God d--- I love this album. My favorite song changes with every listen. I Am A God is my favorite song (on this listen, besides NS/HML, I might like it better than BOTL). Might be my favorite song to sing/rap along to ever. It's uplifting. Makes me feel like I, too, am a god. Plus, that song blessed us with one of the most iconic Ye lines OF ALL TIME:
