Had this idea for a topic that I think would be a great way to get a general idea of sectioneighty's taste in rap and possibly expose people to new music. I'll start with only rap albums since that's what's most popular here, but I might move onto other genres depending on how popular this is/isn't: Every day or two (or whenever I feel like updating if we get good discussion/I forget) I'll update the topic title with a new album. Everyone rates the album out of ten and writes a blurb about why they gave the album that rating. I'm not asking for an in-depth review, just a sentence or two about why you like or dislike the album. At the end of each rating period, I'll add up all the scores and post sxn80's average score for said album. Other mods feel free to update this topic with another album if I forget. Rules: 1. Bold your rating so it's easier for me to see. 2. Don't rate an album if you haven't listened to it at least a few times. 3. I won't count your rating if you don't write a blurb. 4. Feb 18, 2015 I listened to this tape one or two times. Bored me to tears. Not quite a fair shot. I should relisten and see if I get anything else out of it. Dude's style reminds me of Smoke DZA or something. It's alright. The stuff on h is Soundcloud prior was better imo. Dirty b------s always want a clean MFa :CarltonDance:
Feb 18, 2015 8.1/10 - I learned to appreciate this album on another level when I drove through Tennessee listening to it on a cold winter night in the warmth of my car. Such juxtaposition helped me make sense of why he chose such laid back production for how aggressive his flow/lyrics is sometimes. Album's also cohesive as h---, which is something I really value. Easily the best non-kendrick TDE project in my opinion.

Feb 18, 2015 8.5/10 - Awesome melodies and the mellowed production provide a great canvas for Isaiah's sharp rhymes and introspective narratives. Heavenly Father was my most played song of last year. Edit: I think Tha Tour Pt. 1 would be a great topic of discussion

Feb 18, 2015 i mean im sure it is (schoolboy isn't extremely artistic or anything lmao), but i obviously know more about him/am more inclined to listen to him than some random artist TDE tried to throw at us. but at this point that excuse doesn't mean anything lol, i should've been on this album by now. mehh ill check it out at some point. with all the praise it gets, no matter when i do, i should love it right?
