I can't wait to watch Roger Goodell present the trophy to Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. There's no way they let Atlanta out prepare them and outplay them come Super Bowl Sunday.

    Go Browns ...

I'm picking the Falcons to win. I feel like they're destined to win it all this year. Their offense is just sooo f---ing good. And i'm rooting for them to win since they're a new face. Call me a hater but i'm just tired of seeing Brady lift the trophy lol. I like Belichick though, and I think he doesn't get enough credit for the Pats success. Head coach does far more than a QB does and that's just a fact.

the super bowl is always bittersweet for me. i love the super bowl and everything that goes along with it--- commercials, the buildup from now until game-day, the actual game itself and the special halftime show. but on the other hand, its a reminder that football season is almost over and we will soon have that loooooooooooong a--- off-season.

i think it'll be a pretty good game, and i'm glad we've got a FRESH team in the super bowl. unless its your team of course......i think its boring to see the same ol same ol teams in the biggest game every year

If the Eagles managed to slow down the Falcons then the Patriots shouldn't have too much trouble.

I do feel kinda depressed when football season is over, but the Eagles have a big offseason in front of them, and football never ends in Philly. There's literally Eagles shows on everyday

Think I'd mostly want the Falcons to win here, but kinda leaning towards favoring the Pats just cuz I went to a game of theirs this year and it'd be cool to have Brady get another ring the year I saw him play.

I don't really know what to expect in this one, haven't thought much about it yet.

Cool? neither does 90% of the posters here. Not sure what that has to do with anything.

You've been trying to downplay everything Brady's done for like a month. Saying he would be a nobody on the Browns or Lions (in other words Matt Stafford is a better QB lol).

Now here we are, Rodgers got his d-ck kicked in yesterday, Brady was incredible and your narrative is it was all Bill and not Brady. You got destroyed in the other thread where you tried to downplay Brady, should have just left it at that. Now run along Mr. 2 teams and just enjoy watching the Greatest QB of all time suit up in his 7th SB.

I think Pats will hold Julio Jones in check... Probably will do the same thing they did against Pitt. Put Malcolm on him with McCourtey over the top...

The key really is Logan Ryan and Eric Rowe vs Gabriel and Sanu. IDK who matches up with who, but I think that's the key to the Super Bowl. Eric Rowe has been pretty solid this year, but he got burned vs the Steelers a couple times (luckily they dropped it).

I'd put Rowe on Sanu and Ryan on Gabriel.

I think our front 7 is good enough to contain Freeman and Coleman. I don't think we've allowed a 100 yard rusher this season, although I might be wrong. My big concern is how they cover them coming out of the backfield, but the Pats have been pretty good at that this year.

I give Atlanta like a 35% of winning the SB which isn't bad. I just think NE's experience will certainly give them an edge. They've been here before, they know what they have to do. Also NE has the defense that's capable of slowing down Atlanta's offense and give them some trouble. Only way I see Atlanta winning this is if NE comes out and plays like s--- like how they did vs Houston. Even a poor half for NE boosts Atlanta's probability of winning way up. If NE brings their A game though, i think they win this.

I'm kind scared because this game could either be great and close throughout or Atlanta could s--- the bed and this game could get out of hand quick.

Belichick's system is the best in the game. He's also the best game manager, best X's and O's, best at evaluating and valuing talent, etc.

However, I hate this notion that the Patriots defense in the early 2000's carried them, or that the Patriots offense was molded before Brady. Yes, they were a very good. However, there were SO MANY times that Brady bailed them out in the clutch. (Check the 2001 Raiders, 2001 Rams, 2003 Panthers, 2006 Chargers playoff games).

Brady was never given elite weapons, or even an elite offensive line. Brady MADE the offensive line look great and he made his receivers look good. Before Brady, Terry Glenn was our best wide receiver and when Brady showed up, Glenn was disposable.

Before Brady, we had an All-Pro QB in Drew Bledsoe, and he used to get killed with the same offensive line. When Brady stepped in? We went from being 5-13 (5-11 in 2000, and 0-2 in 2001) to 11-3 and winning the Super Bowl.

It's why Belichick was able to invest so much into the defense, because he knew he had a great quarterback, who didn't turn the ball over much, had a quick release, was accurate, and didn't fold under pressure.

Since 2007, Brady was given actual weapons, and his stats inflated like crazy.

Everyone loves to throw Matt Cassell as a great example of Brady being a system QB. However, in 2007 Brady was sacked 21 times, and in 2009, Brady was sacked 16 times. In 2008, Cassell was sacked 47 times.

They went from being a 16-0 team (with one of the toughest schedules in 2007), with Tom throwing 50 TDs, to an 11-5 record (against an easy schedule) and Cassel throwing 21 TDs.

I don't think many QB's could come into the Patriots' system and succeed like Brady did. Belichick would have their head for the throws they make, especially in the early 2000's.

Maybe in today's NFL they would do great in the Patriots' system, but definitely not back then lol. I still don't think many would thrive or even like it here. The "dink and dunk" offense isn't an easy one to command. It takes a ton of precision and accuracy.

People don't realize how many times our defense let us down in the early 2000's, or even overall with Belichick.

Our defense s--- the bed in almost every playoff run except 2004 lol. Brady just bailed us out constantly.

I thought it was 28, but you might be right. I think the only teams with more are Steelers, Cowboys, 49ers...
