Feb 9, 2015 J. Cole can't catch him. Even before Kendrick dropped GKMC he was titled the "savior" or "next legend" by a ton of high profile artists. Then he dropped GKMC and it lived up to expectations and was a classic. Stopped the world with his control verse, has the biggest music star in the world backing his every move (Taylor Swift). And now on his way to a second classic. All the while J. Cole has dropped two lack luster albums, and a good album. J. Cole had the opportunity to be where Kendrick is back in 09-10 but that time has passed and he missed it
Feb 9, 2015 J. Cole may not have a classic album, but FNL is a classic to me. He has a long way to go in order to catch Kendrick though. Even though Cole is my favorite rapper he's not on King Kendrick's level. He would have to start making classic after classic which just isn't realistic for him. (Sadly)

Feb 9, 2015 Cole may not have a whole classic album, (he does in a couple mixtapes, don't try to argue) but he has made classic music. Do I think he'll "catch" Kendrick. No...but who knows.
Feb 9, 2015 If he drops a second classic with his sophomore I don't see anyone from the new school catching up to him Its not impossible to fall off though. We've seen it happen before, just don't see it with Kendrick.

Feb 10, 2015 He can't. Kendrick passed him and that's that unless k.dot does a Lupe (which is highly unlikely). Cole will always be my favourite rapper of the new school and that won't change cuz I can relate to him the most his whole discography almost. But sometimes you just have to accept some are better than others. This is the case here. Love them both tho. That collab album will end me if it comes out.
